How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The self booking in machine is a shambles, We had to be booked in manually as the machine didn’t work and I saw people having to be booked in manually throughout our stay
Property was very clean, perfect location in the city centre, staff were very helpful. Breakfast was everything you could ask for, top class really.

The place and location it’s really nice and the building style as this my 3rd time in here
Location and satisfied level of cleaning in addition to that they have good facilities I didn’t used but available.

Mould in bathroom Angle of tv was so awkward hard to watch One comfy chair Safe so high we couldn't reach what was inside Cost but realise this was linked to location

I think there are design/function features in the bathroom that need to be addressed, especially the lighting. Awful .... and why no magnifying mirror for shaving ? Cleanliness was not up to previous standards either. And your limited TV stations and operation of the hand held control was awful. Where is CNN on your lineup ? Nowhere to be found. Friends are encouraging me to stay at the new Maurits on the Park Hotel. Thank you.
Location since the SAS days has always been good for my needs.

- there was some building work going on within another room so was noisy one afternoon but really didn’t effect our stay - no view really just another building facing. Again we don’t spend much time in our hotel room so again didn’t affect us.
- very good location - less than 5 minute walk to the metro and multiple tram stops - staff were lovely and very accommodating (initial put us in twin beds but swapped it to a queen) - very clean and well presented

No special rooms for smokers.
It is really nice property and it is located near to most interested areas. I like the restaurant with a lot of varieties, taste and good service. Check in and out very fast.

Cheap packet coffee and creamer in room. Expensive room but standard for area.
Lovely front desk staff comfortable beds and great location. Buffet breakfast very good.

Wish that the restaurant/bar was a little bigger but still lovely
Breakfast was delicious and lots of variety! Way better than I expected. Location was great, quiet street in the middle of everything still and loved our canal view room at the top. Would recommend

Hotel is a little pricey, two double G&Ts at the bar cost around £40, breakfast are also charged at a super premium (£25 for the basics) and rooms are around double the cost of a like for like in other cities we visited during the trip.

Carpet floor is a bit overrated, the breakfast chef was really rude to us.

There was a sound of a fan working in the toilet which annoyed me. Also, they gave me two single beds, whereas I request one queen bed. Also, It is a bit expensive hotel.
Location is excellent - nearby everything. There is a parking lot but small and limited to few cars (I guess because it was in the middle of city center). Reception employees were amazing and very helpful.

For what you pay, I believe you do not get. The least they can offer is a bottle of water a day. There was one sparkling water in the fridge and that was all. Bathroom is not nice, tight shower, leaked water, rusted soap and shampoo dispensers, and tissue roll holders were damaged. Staff at the breakfast seemed unwelcoming, they weren’t disrespectful but that was the vibe I got from them.
The property is set in a great location. The hotel offered an assisted and fast self check in. Staff were very polite and attentive. Beds were very comfortable and room size was great.

Many of the rooms are across the street which required walking under the street via a long hallway before going up a bank of elevators to room.

The cleaning crew opened my carry-on luggage that I always locked in a particular way when I go out. I found out that my luggage locked in differently and the lock was on the other side of my luggage when I come back. I talked the director of the hotel security. But no answer at all. It was very scary because sometime I keep some money there.

The location is a bit far from train station and need some walk, it’s a bit rough if you are carrying luggages.
The breakfast is full of fresh and local varieties. Staff are friendly and helpful.
