there is one thing which really annoyed me, we had a regular room (room # 2) and the facilities are all there. But there is also one thing there of which the logic complete evades me; the door between the bedroom and the toilet / shower is this kind of louvre door, however there is no way to close them in any way or form, and since the door is straight in front of the toilet, the one is on the toilet is complete visible to the bedroom. This is something which I found rather odd (understatement)

from check in to check out, the staff is extremely friendly, they tell you about the amenities, and other stuff you can do in the area. their way of interacting is also very friendly and open, so top points for that.

The room and location were great however the fridge was too small and the combi microwave was not great. I opted for the more expensive studio room so that I could prepare food but there were no instructions for the combi microwave and staff at reception did not have one nor was it found during our stay. The oven when I did get it working was very very noisy.

The room size and location was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. The soup turine at reception and free coffee were very welcome ~ except the mustard soup 🤔

The shower had no warm water. Literally: a cold shower. Staff took our complaint very serious and give us a 20% return on the payment we had already made .

This was not our first time at this hotel. It is a charming place, very close to the trainstation.

Nothing it’s great all around.

This hotel and some of its facilities are associated with a youth hostel, which adds to its inherent hipness. The staff are professional and efficient, very Dutch. Friendly reception area that is a lot like a comfy living room. Strongly recommended as a primary stay point for Maastricht. It is literally 100 meters from train ands bus station. Best rooms end in -06 (106, 206, …) as they are on the building corner and have 50% more space and windows on two walls. In sum, Totally relaxing end point for a long solo hiking trip. Strongly recommended.

This hotel has it's own unique style and we loved it! They try to make it feel more like a home than a hotel and they did that very successfully while still having all the service and amenities. Good coffee which you can get 24/7 and is complimentary. Beds are really comfy, plenty of breakfast choices and you can get a complimentary bowl of soup the whole day (one of the things that makes it feel like you are visiting your favorite aunt). Staff is very friendly and well trained, hospitality professionals! The locations was perfect for us, 5-10 minutes walk to busy downtown but in a quiet neighborhood. We had a room with a balcony, that was perfect (if you want that, ask in advance). Our room was not huge but had enough space (rooms at the back of the building are bigger and rooms with balcony are smaller). For people who come by car like we did, there is plenty of parking space, the hotel has a few garages. For those traveling by train, the main station is right around the corner. Don't worry about the noise, there is non, the hotel is well isolated. Being near the train station also had the advantage that you can easily board a train and visit Valkenburg which is nearby and also wonderful to visit. We loved our stay at Townhouse and would definitely stay there again when in Maastricht!

Staff was super friendly and the set up was very nice. Made us feel welcome. Pillows too thick and heavy. Comforter was too heavy for this time a year.

I would have liked better pillows. Also on the wall paper of our room a cell phone was written with black pen, which did not look nice and gave an impression of uncleanliness.

The location was great, easy check-in and check-out, friendly staff, coffee, tea and day soup was offered daily for free!!

The breakfast is very expensive for what it is. It was tasty but for nearly €20 I would like a bit more choice than what was offered. Recommend you grab breakfast at one of the many nice cafés that are nearby instead.

WiFi was slow. Would stop working for short moments. On the second night the air conditioner did not work anymore. Not a huge issue, as it was not hot. Still not expected.

Rooms a little bit small and feel cramped. It costs extra for sauna / spa. 💰 We did not know this. But easy worth the money. Great value, bring swim clothes not allowed to be naked.

Very nice, clean and friendly staff. Good beds and +++ for the hot and steamy Saunas in the spa.

The payment was made not on Booking.com but with a separate link from the hotel. I paid but continued to receive emails from the hotel saying I needed to make payment. At the hotel, when i asked, I was told I had only made a partial payment. Not correct and this was later verified by the hotel.
