Stayed prior to hiking Bessegan and was a perfect place for that. Easy access next morning to lot/ferry dock. Staff was communicative and helpful in accommodating our arrival time the previous night.

The weather could have been better other wise amazing place to visit.could not walk the Bessegen ridge due to weather will have to come back for this!!

lovely large apartment with nice cooking facilities and bathroom.views were great.beds were comfortable.good area to park the car.Wifi only available in the main building reception area.but the reception area with open fire place and artworks and history was a great place to hangout.The staff were great in informing us about the local walks .

The location of the cabin is amazing, it is inside the park and the hiking trails start directly from there (the famous Besseggen ridge is very close as well). The cabin was very spacious and clean, there is a small table in front with the view of the river. The staff was very helpful in giving us advices for hiking trails and motor roads.

We felt very well taken care of from the beginning until the very end. Every single aspect of our stay made it an exceptional one: the location was perfect, the rooms were cozy and clean, the food was always delicious and plentiful, and most of all: the warm yet professional service of the Bessheim was exceptional. At Bessheim, you can really feel and see everyone go the extra mile to make sure, you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend staying at the Bessheim and would love to return and stay even longer the next time.

extremely nice staff that helped out to find the nearest medical facility, bus timetables, hike recommendations. They also gave us a lift to Gjendesheim when we needed to catch the bus for Oslo.

We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very cosy, clean and spacious and it had everything we needed. The view towards the lake was awesome. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the cabin.

We recently stayed two nights here and had a fantastic experience. The staff are all highly friendly, courteous, and hospitable. Initially, we could not make it all the way to the hotel in our car as the road leading to the hotel was closed due to severe rainstorms in the days leading up to our stay. Nonetheless, the hotel sent out staff members to meet us at a pick up point and drive us to the hotel. They also had staff drive us to the ferry in Gjendesheim to catch the first morning ferry to Besseggen. We absolutely would not have made it to our incredible hike at Besseggen if they were not willing to be so accommodating to us. They even had staff drive us back to our car once our stay was over! The dinner at the hotel was wonderful, and my friend and I especially loved their selection of local beers and aquavit. All in all, if you are hiking Besseggen or embarking on other adventures in Jotunheimen National Park, I could not recommend Bessheim Fjellstue og Hytter highly enough!

I have allergies and the since there is no AC and there is carpet, the damp weather creates moisture in the room. No carpet would be best. I don't think it is realistic to have hepa filters and Ac in Norway.

Location was perfect for our Besseggen ridge hike. Half board meals were excellent. Kind and responsible staff. They found my diamond engagement ring in the room and went out of their way to find me and return it! That never would have happened in the USA. I am forever grateful.

Terrific stay at this mountain lodge. Handy for all sorts of lodging a 5 minutes away from the infamous Besseggen Ridge trail. Great accomodation, roomy room, great breakfast and dinner (and lunch making for the hike) and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

It’s 2023… probably time to provide wifi in the cabins.

Great cabins and a wonderful guesthouse area to relax in. The weekly buffet dinner is one of the best we’ve ever had. Simply superb.
