Considering the price of the hotel in a small provincial town, in November (not high season) seems a little cheeky to charge 350 nok extra for the outdoor bubble bath. The cost is literally soap and water. I also had an unpleasant experience with a well-groomed blonde woman at reception, who berated me for putting more than two logs on the fireplace at a time. Otherwise, everyone at the hotel was professional and warm.

Wonderfully updated historic hotel, with old beams and character retained. Nice, but not spacious rooms with water view. Very impressive and welcoming fireplace downstairs lounge with chimney rising up 3 stories.

Our room disappointed us, it was dark, quite small, cramped, the bathroom also very small, the room did not recall those who are on the hotel webpage. Plus the staff, concierge, who had to come to help us, but did not show up for an hour, the staff at the reception makes the impression that it is still the best hotel in the city where it is difficult to find a place, so why try to be extra nice, the guest will stay there anyway...

Excellent location in the very center of a town, delicious breakfast, excellent restaurant, in the lobby there is an unusual fireplace, where wood burns all the time, which gathers the guests, it is an extremely nice place.

Our room is a bit far at the corner. It requires a few stair steps which is not very convenient when we have lots of luggages

I love the concept of having many salons where guests can relax or chill since the room is not very big. We stayed 3 nights, pouring and cold everyday. These salons are very helpful. The location is excellent. The breakfast is superb. The restaurant is amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located in more central, rugiger Kage in Alesund and has an exceptional charm. Old and new have been superbly combined. We would like to emphasize the unobtrusive, courteous and friendly service and the excellent breakfast. The hotel is anything but standard in the best sense.

Unfortunately our filght was moved to early hours in the morning, so we couldn't really enjoy the breakfast of the hotel.

Lobby is very inviting for a comfortable chat. All sort of delicious teas are offered and seating by the fireplace after dinner was great.
