Unfortunately only one shower for a lot of people and maybe small sharing kitchen.

Nice location, amazing views. You can eat breakfast with the lake and mountain view, very nice. Water in the room is advantage.

Could use a few more lounge chairs outside and the bunk beds are a bit squeaky.

Great location, well maintained, plenty of facilities, great communal areas, very good breakfast.

The beds in the room are old and should be renewed. The toilet was not always clean. At night there is quit some noise of opening and closing doors.

Overall location is very nice. Customer friendly and willingness to help. Parking facilities available.

Not much to fault! We thought this place was so cool and wish we stayed longer than 1 night.

The property is amazing! Very spacious and beautiful property with amazing view. The room was comfortable, lots of storage and the sink in the room was great. The property is very interesting and we enjoyed exploring. The receptionist was very friendly and kind, answering all of our questions about the very interesting history. We had to get up early and would have missed breakfast but the receptionist made us a lunch pack that we picked up the night before which was awesome.

Single bed was a bit small and narrow. Wished that the curtains were longer and covered the entire window, as light was coming in and it was still too bright even though we closed the curtains

Very clean! Shared spaces were well-maintained and the shared kitchen was well-equipped. Love that they had books, games and table tennis table for entertainment ;) also love the breakfast buffet spread and variety. Staff were very friendly and helpful

A challenging climb up a steep hill, but benefitting from great views. Pleasant staff. Good sized room with en suite. Comfy beds. Easy parking. Good breakfast with great early start option. A remote location, there is a small restaurant in the village at the bottom of the access hill that serves an excellent evening meal. As a hostel more than met expectation.

Not to sound whiny, but basic American conveniences. But this wasn’t America. And maybe we can learn from the minimalist take they have here. Travel, interact, and then use your room to sleep. It did get really hot one day and not having a fan made it hot for sleeping.

We have never stayed at a hostel before. They are not common in the US. It is what it is. A no frills. Inexpensive place to stay. Basically dorm style since this location is a school during those times and a hostel in the summer. But the beds were comfy.

Our room was habitable, but a small renovation would not hurt (room 9).

The view from the window is amazing! The staff is very responsive! The price includes absolutely everything: bed linen and towels, very tasty and varied breakfast buffet, public showers, sauna, jacuzzi (there were no bubbles, it worked just like a warm outdoor bath), barbecue area (you need to buy more coal and matches), board games, some sports equipment, a laundry room where you can wash and dry your clothes. It is very convenient to get to Munketreppene (part of HM Queen Sonja's panoramic hiking trail), where very cute and affectionate goats are alive, which will refresh you after a long climb with their wet tongues :)

Didn't realise a Twin Room would be bunk beds but that's my fault. Had to make own bed with sheets provided etc. £7.50 for a can of larger out of their fridge :)

The room had an amazing view, nice hammocks and seats/tables outside to admire the view. Staff were courteous and spoke good English. Breakfast was cold meat, ham, boiled egg and rolls with juice and coffee.
