The hotel was SO beautiful and very chic. The rooms were clean and had a good amount of space for all our things. The staff were so kind and even made us a breakfast to go since we would be missing breakfast because of an early flight. We also paid for dinner at the hotel restaurant and loved the food. It was delicious. Overall we’d highly recommend staying here!

I don't drink coffee but my friend does and said it was the only thing she didn't like about the hotel. The rest was perfect.

Beautiful design, clean, and comfortable. Room was on the 4th floor with ceiling windows. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast options - healthy and upscale - quality not quantity.

Outside food and drink are not allowed in the garden or lounge because it is also a restaurant and this completes with them. So there isn't a location to enjoy these things, other than your room.

Great location, nice clean design, friendly staff, and good breakfast. Because I booked two separate stays, they allowed me to store my suitcase in their closet for 2 days in between while I was exploring the fjords. This made ferry travel much easier.

The hotel is in the center of town. The room was in a good size, and had an extra sofa. Comfortable bathroom. Comfortable bed. There is a small refrigerator and every thing you need to make coffee and tea. Breakfast is excellent.

There is no AC in the rooms despite this being stated on the website and due to the hotel being located in the center of the city, when opening the windows to open some air it is a bit noisy. The bathroom has no shelf to store/keep cosmetics.

We were not staying in Alesund for longer. I could have stayed in this hotel for my entire Norwegian holiday.

Everyone on Norway seems to be friendly. The staff at 1904 were exceptionally friendly , accommodating and were genuinely interested in making the guests stay an exceptional one. I have been in many hotels in many cities throughout the world. I would be hard pressed to find a friendlier more accommodating staff.

The room was lovely but it seemed that style was more important than substance, as the storage areas in both the bathroom and the bedroom was very poor. We stayed 2 nights which was enough when you don;t have any storage space, as I don't like living put of a bag when I am on holiday. However that is the only negative as in general the hotel was lovely and probably the best in Alesund.

The hotel is easy to reach by the airport bus, just a short walking distance from the bus stop. The room is clean and modern looking. The breakfast is very delicious and have a good choices or selection of food. The ambience is also very nice.

Nothing to complain about. We found the flexible shower head was too heavy for the restraint, so we used a small string to hold it up. We would have liked to have a mirror in the room, not just in the bathroom. but these are minor issues. The hotel is outstanding.

No full length mirror in the room, no robes. The shower is a little funny and the floor of the whole bathroom gets wet but not a big deal.

By far the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Incredible blend of art deco and modern. The single room was not too small and the lobby spaces were gorgeous. The breakfast was excellent!
