Hotel conveniently located in center of town, and with a car you can get to various nice places to visit in just short times. For example we visited the end of the world (Verdens ende) amongst others.. :-) Easy access also to/from Strömstad, Sweden by ferry (2,5 hours) at a good price. Great breakfast buffet. Plenty to choose from, and good tastes.

When you order a double room (not twin, double) and you get two single beds just attached to each other, not even a single mattress. That is not good.

Exeptional and classy atmosphere, wonderful hotel. If you are exploring Norway for the first time and want to feel real norwegian spirit, you must stay in this hotel!

It was great 3 days in Sandefjord. Very nice hotel, clean, great breakfasts, customer oriented service. Hotel looks like king residence inside.

The extraction system in the bathroom was rather noisy (low frequency drone) so I did not sleep well at all. Onsite parking a bit expensive.

Just small things which are probably not fixable in such an old building without costing too much money but if you've got into bed and realised that you've left the main light on, there is no switch by your bed, you have to get out of bed and go to the bedroom door to switch it off. Being British, I'm used to English Breakfast tea in the mornings. The only sachets the hotel seemed to have were Earl Grey and Lady Grey teabags which are quite niche for most British people but if you don't get many British travellers then it's not a problem.

This is a traditional hotel and is fighting hard to stay relevant in a world of customers that are probably content to have a different type of hotel experience. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, the furnishings plush and the showers were great. The buffet breakfast was magnificent.

The sound isolation of my last room was average, meaning you could hear steps in the corridor. However, I am particularly sensitive to waking up to noise and I always wear ear plugs. With ear plugs, it was no problem.

For the price it is a fantastic place to stay. The hotel has a lot of historic charm while also offering modern, renovated facilities. I have stayed here twice and my rooms have been very comfortable, particulary due to the heated floors in the bathrooms. Breakfast includes a nice selection of high quality dishes (including freshly cooked scrambled eggs) in a cozy and calm restaurant.

- rooms were pretty cold- they have only a small radiator - dinner was almost exclusive local with slim pickings g good food but it does require accepting local cooking and taste. Also, it's pretty expensive compared to local restaurants.

Could hear a bit of noise from the next room, but only a minor issue. Didn’t appear to be a lift - whilst this wasn’t an issue for me, it’s something I’d suggest anyone who needs a lift should double check

Location is great for Sandefjord and is close to both the railways station and port. The hotel has quirky historic, yet modern style. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again

Nothing worth mentioning, except that one of the days the Break fast was moved to a meeting room, don’t know why and was really cramped up due to the No of guests who were staying. But I believe that was a 1 off but otherwise nothing to mourn or complain about.

A very cosy , luxurious property in the heart of the city. 5 min away from the train station, Good Restaurant, Excellent Breakfast, nice eateries & town centre close by, good comfortable Bed.

A cupboard/shelves for clothes would be useful.

The rooms were clean, good breakfast with lots of options and the check-in staff were quite helpful and allowed us to park our motorcycle for free on the corner.

room window was facing the parking lot and thrash bins so you have to be prepared for a bad smell in the room. air conditioner would be a solution, but the room didn’t have it. also, be prepared for a noise from the restaurant in the evening. the rest is excellent.
