How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Didn't really notice anything negative about it.
The location is amazing - right next to Palace Park, there's a train station nearby. Hotel was very clean, even though there were renovations going on (if I wasn't told, wouldn't even notice), staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional and always freshly made. The room was spacious, quiet, mini fridge was an excellent addition. Bed was very comfortable to sleep in.

All was perfect. The only downside I could say was that there were renovations in the hotel, so it had some noise from time to time, but nothing major.

We had a small kitchenette in our room which was a nice surprise and very useful. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. One of the best we have had. So much choice and variety. It's really worth staying at the hotel for this alone. Location is very good, right near the palace.

Just a little thing but the water glasses were not changed in our room during our stay even though they were dirty.
Location was great. The breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful

They were carrying out renovations at the time and we would get woken before 8am by drilling and sawing.
Loved the location. The staff were amazing and the breakfast incredible.

We didn't have a safe in our room which was odd and disappointing.
The breakfast was excellent, cannot fault and one of the best spreads ever seen Staff was really friendly.

The elevators went through the renovation throughout my stay, so there was only one left - bit inconvenient.
I liked the breakfast, one of the very best I have ever had.

In the middle of the coldest winter week, the balcony door was a bit open when we arrived and there was even a little bit of snow on the inside doorstep. Hopefully the hotel will develop their policies towards more energy saving ones.
The breakfast was absolutely lovely, as well as the view from the room. The staff was eager to help us feel the best possible and gave us good tips for the dinner.

The area didn’t appear to be the safest. When we were leaving one morning there was a man sitting on the curb with a bloodied face. When we had the window opened one night, we could hear lots of screaming from the street. However, we were able to walk everywhere with no safety issues.
The breakfast and gym were great. The people who worked at the hotel were super friendly and helpful!

It was not possible to open and block the window in the open position (if you prefer to sleep with open window). And there is a common balcony outside. So, some blockers on the window will be good to install.
The most variable and rich breaksfast we have ever met (all kinds of food for all tastes). The hotel's location is amazing - just next to the Royal Palace (and Slottsparken).

Was not consistency in cleaning - one day the room was cleaned very good, the other 2 days - so, so. There was no information about breakfast time, there was no info - I could have lunch or dinner - is not a critic, but if would know that there are such services - I would probably use them.

Beds are pretty uncomfortable, pillows especially poor Room had a kettle, but not the actual base it needed to plug into to make it boil!
Location is excellent and the staff are incredibly helpful Rooms are spacious and light, well heated

not having an on site restaurant is the only downside, but as the city is of human size, you have plenty of options just few minutes away
Great location, close to everything, could walk all around, easy access to all kind of transportation. Many restaurants, bars, shops around. We got family room and there was enough space for 4, large enough bathroom, plentiful breakfast and convenient gym at the 1st floor.

The only problem we had was we booked a double bed room and we had 2 twin beds pushed together which kept separating.
Very clean and spacious, staff were so helpful and polite. They spoke English to help us out.

The housekeeping service wasn’t great. We used the mugs in the room day 1 and they were just left (dirty) in the room the whole 4 days, beds weren’t made.
Convenient location and the breakfast is good. Beds were comfy and we loved the separate duvets.
