Elaborate breakfast and good restaurant. Very friendly staff. Rooms are a bit old fashioned, but comfortabel beds and chairs. Very nice place and many things to see in the surroundings.

Our room was definitely dated. Some of the lights didn't work and electricity outlets were scares. The double glass in our window was old and moisture had gathered between the panes making half the window obscured by a murky haze.

There was a wide choice of breakfast offerings. The area around the hotel was truly rural Norwegian. While the longest day of the year was only two weeks away there was still some snow on the grounds in less sunlit areas. The hotel is a peculiar mix of old-style (early last century) rural styles and modern 21st century appliances.

the view from the room was beautiful and the room was very peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. It was very convenient that we could ski straight out of the hotel. The breakfast and dinner was delicious, The staff very helpful.

Bathroom had wierd smell. We closed the door and had the best sleep still with comfortable clean beddings.

Property was very nice and had a nice backyard area with nature and water. Nice restaurant and great staffs. Our waitress also worked in reception and provide accommodating extra postal service. 3 Ev chargers were available for reasonable fee.

marvellous location directly at mountain lake. hotel consists of many smaller wooden buildings in old style with stone roofs with grass on it - very typical for the mountain regions. cosy dining room, tasty dishes in restaurant, friendly service.

Would like a little electric kettle, cups and smal satchels of tea/coffee in the room, just for a nice warm drink before bed or when first waking up in the morning.

Bathroom is quite small with a shower curtain. For the price, I would expect a bigger and newer room.

Breakfast, the view on the lake and dinner! Arrived late from the Trolltunga hike and were just in time (closes at 21:00) with great hunger. We had the deer steak and it was lovely. With nice vegetables which were still crunchy and great sauce. I think it was the most healtiest and best thing we ate during our whole trip.

The only thing that I could comment about it fixing the charging stations for our electric car.

I enjoyed the simplicity of this hotel. Quirky but clean and attentive staff. A real Norwegian feel for the first time. The beds were super comfortable and the food was delightful. Would recommend after a really big hike.

A bit pricey. Family room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Preferebly 2 double bed or 1 double+ 2 single for 2 adults + 2 kids

Location is good for rest after long drive.

Nothing not to like

Large room with a comfy bed and a great view. Evening meal was delicious and a real welcome change from pizza or burgers! Staff were friendly and helpful.

No blackout courtains. Light in the room the whole night (summer time) The view was very nice but unfortunately for us blocked by a crane. I asked to change the room but it wasn’t possible. Bad insulation of the building as we could hear noises from the room next to us. No attractions nearby.

It is nice to stay in a hotel with some personality! We were lucky to stay when snow remained on the surrounding slopes so views were exceptional. The hotel restaurant was very good.

electric car charging was 300 NOK!

rooms were simple but extremely clean. there was a nice sitting area with a great view, good lighting, strong Wi-Fi, and a great remodelled bathroom. breakfast was outstanding and mat pakke was reasonably priced if you needed it. staff were very nice and the common areas were cozy with different sitting areas.

The restaurant should be open until 10pm not 9pm for dinner and breakfast should be served until at least 10.30am. The hotel needs a complete renovation to justify the room rates. The photo of the hotel from the lake shows the lovely privately owned cabins in front of the dated hotel behind.

Location was nice right next to the lake. Breakfast was good although only served until 9.30. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly.
