We had a very nice stay there within a familiar atmosphere. Great local food and a cozy livingroom for all. In addition we had the chance to visit a lovely cabin in the mountains to watch Northern Lights! We can really recommend it! Thanks!

Food options were limited in the restaurant so vegetarians/vegans should contact the venue early. Dinner booking needs to be made in advance.

Beautiful, peaceful location and calm atmosphere. Especially enjoyed the jacuzzi on a rainy day. Food was good and staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good, but a little something sweet would have been a nice addition.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, even the little farm dog who comes up to say hello. Everywhere was spotless, warm and cosy. The food was absolutely beautiful on an evening, and very quiet on a night for a good night's sleep. The views were amazing, we didn't see the northern lights but I bet be pretty special from here if you did!

If you are sensitive to noise and light, I would recommend that you avoid room no. 8 (despite a really beautiful view and a very nice basic room lay-out): it is in-between entrances (to the main building and a number of rooms) and especially when there is Northern lights, you will hear endless boot-kicking (to get rid of snow from boots), doors opening and closing, people talking, steps on the staircase,. Everything is taking place right outside your windows - which are large - it is a very "public" room in that sense. Re. lights, there are lights on over both entrances the whole night, so your room is also lit. The best option is room no. 11 - or a cabin.

Really nice place for a couple of days of relaxation - and for watching Northern lights, if the weather conditions allow. The food is very good, and includes homemade bread, lovely fish made in different ways (and meat, which we did not get) and other good stuff. The room was simple, but with a beautiful view and there are many little corners, you can hide in, if you do not want to sit in your room. The host has a very good taste, so the place is cosy and nice - and feels homey in the good way

Our room was pretty far away from the other areas, and in a full blizzard moving around wasn't that nice. The car parking is also a bit far away. Wifi in the room was weak, unusable. The room could use some extra equipment, for example some drinking water glasses, maybe even a kettle to make tea. The price is a bit higher than average.

The room and the common space really looked great. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and it included coffee, despite other reviews that I've read. We were constantly asked if we need anything else, the staff was warm and polite. We got the room near the animals stable, so we got to see them right from our window. The surrounding area is lovely, especially the view from the restaurant area. They have a cute dog :)

noisy cold with no possibility to increase the temperature expensive food and just one choice - depending on the other guests choice( usually there are 2 possibilities and the winner is decided by the food with highest number of votes- i guess) small portions - the lunch plate. 20 euros for some pieces of bread , cheese and processed meats. we don’t eat a lot nor we like huge portions, but still…

We wanted a tv in a room just to watch random tv shows as a way of experiencing more of the 'casual' life of the Norwegian people, but not a big miss really, instead we spent more time experiencing the nature

I can't imagine a more Scandinavian experience than the one we had at Yggdrasil Farmhotel. Very welcoming hosts. Cute farm animals, warm and cozy inside rooms, dining room, sitting lounge where we enjoyed homemade desserts and watched nature's roughness from behind huge panoramic windows. Delicious homemade meals from authentic Norway recipes. And we were lucky to see the northern lights! Totally happy with our stay.

What a Wonderful place between the Ocean and the Mountains. Farm animals and farm Poodels were super cute! Food was delicious and service was excellent. Definitely worth it!
