Very old and shabby place, but the lady is doing it up as she can afford to. No bedside tables.

The lady was lovely and friendly and helpful. The views are quite good. The place is very clean. The ded was comfortable and nice pillows too. Close to town.

The beds were uncomfortable. We could hear other people in their units as well as other people's plumbing when it was being used.

It was somewhere to stay at the last minute. We could park the car directly outside. It was clean and reasonably priced.

The infestation of Cockroach's in the kitchen was awful, the kitchen would of been very unhygienic. The pillows were not comfortable and there was a draft coming through the old fashioned window in the bathroom. Customer service was basic and had to pay cash two separate nights in a row which seems to be an ongoing issue here in reviews...

The location is very good and they allowed our little pet dog to stay, comfortable bed and the kids playground was handy and parking right outside.

You can hear everything through the walls, taps, toilet flushing, people's conversation and banging on every side and underneath you. Loud, rude families next door and underneath until 4am, struggled to get to sleep. They were drinking, loud rude music and conversing until 4 in the morning. I wondered if there was a rule about quiet time say 12am. Because a family 4 who had travelled all day really just wanted some rest.

Staff are great manager is great facilities are nice, clean. Manager went out of her way for a last minute booking, we showed up and had a warm room with electric blankets on. Loved the service. Nothing wrong with the room or hotel. If I knew the kids and I wouldn't have slept properly because of the neighbors, I would have paid more elsewhere- to no fault of the motel.

The unsoundproof walls, could hear the neighbors yelling in the middle of the night whilst trying to sleep. The place was just overall not very comfy.

The main room has very poor lighting. We used the two oil heaters provided and the windows were covered in condensation in the morning. The outside light shone into the room all night.

The rooms were damp and floors were squeaky. There were ants in the living area and spider webs in the bedrooms. Fridge didn't have light in it and very old fashioned shower. The oil heaters in the room seemed to be bought from salvation army seconds stuff, legs broken. Definitely not worth $350/night stay.

Bizarre list of rules such as no drug dealing and no vomiting, made us think that maybe we were staying in some kind of halfway house or shelter. Not what we expected for $230 per night.

No room service at all would usually have bed made rubbish bag given and towels toilet paper etc done but nothing by, door handle to bathroom falls off, booked din 5 people and enough beds for 5 yet cutlery only had 4 folks and one teaspoon. Didn’t feel too safe with the Multiplug for the heaters tv etc, that’s just a fire waiting to happen.. and only given a roll and a half of toilet paper for 5 people over 2 days.. so sub standard stay for the money we paid not the greatest but was so able..

Staff wasnt present at 2pm when clock in was at 2pm, alot of guest were waiting. There were bags of linen and rubbish piled in a corner when we turned up thats the first thing we seen. Remote to t.v was broken. Heater was broken. There were socks left there from other visitors before us. Only 2 toilet paper, no spares Microwave had to be moved to a plug if u needed to use it. The ashtray wasnt emptied from previous guests. It was cold a draft from the front door. Noisy neighbors we couldnt sleep. No parking that us and other guest parked on the grass out the back.

The location was awesome. The outside facilities were good, the park kept the kids occupied.

The room needs upgrading asap was a tad disappointed on the room was cold, no nets on windows so couldn't open the curtains with out everyone looking in. I was not aware of the $100 bond on arrival as it did not state when I made the booking online.

Heating system , the decor and fittings are all outdated

The property is becoming very dated and need of an update, unfortunately it is of the era gone by and very basic. Taupo is extremely cold at this time of year and heating was a small oil electric heater, TV was a small set located to low to the floor
