Shower cubicle floor was dirty. Fridge wasn’t plugged in and it took us some time to notice. No milk in the fridge. Rules in wall out of date, eg, no phone or breakfast available. Bed covers only just big enough to cover the bed. A number of minor repairs needed.

Decor. Small T.V. Chairs need updating. Iron burn in one and wobbly. Floral bedspreads. Didn't match curtains. Only 3 channels. The first introduction was a very overpowering smell of food in reception. Overpriced for what it was.

Very cramped bathroom, shower, toilet area, but everything clean and functional. Cramped lounge area but manageable. While everything could do with being updated, it was clean. Rather stern and abrupt proprietor and some challenge with English as a second language (we expected this from previous reviews so did not find it as concerning as we might have otherwise). My single bed not comfortable.

Good price. Clean motel and bedding. Main beds reasonably comfortable.

The unit needs a good scrub down from carpets to ceiling.

The management did not present very well and tried to get us to accept less than what we booked (we booked two bedrooms) and the management tried to get us to accept a one bedroom with two twin beds in the main very small living area shared with a kitchenette, and dining room table with chairs. The management seemed to not speak very much English, and appeared to be more interested in watching Asian TV in their lounge room behind the Reception desk. There was a bedroom with a messy bed directly off the Reception Office. We couldn’t not get access to any free TV or streaming applications. We felt we couldn’t ask about this due to the clear language barrier. The decor didn’t match in the room. Looked like most bedspreads, curtains, furniture we obtained from a Seconds Store.

The beds were very comfortable to sleep in. There was a fully stocked kitchenette. New carpet. Fresh towels.

Uncomfortable bed. Only two flat and little more that pillow cases. Dripping Shower, Had to hold toilet buttons down for them ti flush. Hot tap in sink broken and just spun around. Paid for a king size room, was lucky if it was a double. Staff used the laundry which was adjacent to our room and woke us up before 8am, so no alarms required 🤣

Used tissues in the bathroom, dirty light switches, duvet too small for the bed, fridge made loud noises all night.

Heater very noisy and not working properly, but manager did try and fix it then brought us a portable heater to use instead.

Spacious room with adequate facilities. Manager helpful with queries about the heater and lack of teatowel

The manager or whoever he was, was very unfriendly and down right rude! Came to service the unit...used the toilet brush...job done! I asked about using disinfectant and got told very abruptly....' not use everytime. I clean, I clean...you want to check?' I asked him to leave....as he was so rude. 2 salt shakers, no pepper. One saucepan and fry pan for a 2 bedroom unit that could sleep 6. The portable hot plates with 2 elements wouldn't heat oil. Duvet on double bed too small...only came to edge of bed. 9.15am on morning of departure he came to unit....'check out is 10am' He'd forgotten it was daylight saving...did he apologise?? NO. Just abit of a grunt and walked away. So never again...ever!

Access to fridge was limited by dining chairs being so close. This could have been avoided by installing a proper TV shelf up higher. Also the bathroom and toilet facilities were very cramped.

Being asked for cash on arrival. Had problems with the TV. Basic accommodation, but you get what you pay for, and these days in NZ most accommodation seems over priced, so this was reasonable value for money. L
