The pool pump was close to our room so we could hear it humming all the time.

Seating area was a little small for a family of 5 it's sleeps 6 but you all wouldn't fit in sitting are it's more for 3 small people but the dining area table and chairs was huge so we all piled up around that we were in taupo for family unveiling so naturally we had all our family coming to visit so it makes it a bit squishy we made it work😊also my dad came to ask reception for milk because the information booklet says if you need a milk they cost $2 a carton but the lady in office said no night help to take that off the book in the rooms.

Staff were amazingly friendly the family loft was very very clean I was impressed the floors were squeaky here and there but it didn't bother us the loft was warm and we had air con so if it got too warm we had that handy they also had fans in all the rooms the teenagers loved they could look down at everyone downstairs and even tho you had your own privacy you could still be apart of the conversation without having to walk up and down stairs..the bathroom was awesome shower instant heat mirror nice and big so 2 teenage girls could do their make up at the same time main bedroom was amazing the bed loved it the space loved it more the wardrobe the chair it was all just what we needed on such a busy weekend.

Fabulous location, staff member was brilliant and advise of a great place to eat in walking distance. Lovely walk around the lake. Beautiful.

There was nothing we didn’t like, we just want to present an idea. As a dog owner the last thing to do before going to bed is to take the dog out. It would be great to have a little grassy area that is reserved and sign posted as dog toilet, lit at night and provided with degradable plastic bags.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though NZ is becoming more pet friendly, choices are limited if you can’t leave your four footed family member at home. We find Cascades to be the best pet friendly motel in Taupo.

Rooms r spacious and comfy. Everything was clean. Backyard was enough to sit n relax and do some bbq. A few steps away was the lake walk which was excellent.

The location was fabulous being right on the lakefront. The staff member who checked us in was lovely and helpful. The room had everything we needed and was pristinely clean. Will definitely stay there again.

Some spa signage needs redoing. If towels are hanging on towel rail, they don't need replacing daily.

Friendly & helpful owner. Great location near lake & lake bike trails Appreciated getting an upgrade to a bigger & quieter room. Comfy king-size bed. The Taupo Parkrun start is very close to Cascades Lakefront Motel. Liked the recycling & rubbish disposable options.
