Internet was not great. seems to come from main house. poor signal. had to go outside a few times to get a good signal. ☹️

Beautiful property. Stayed at the Standard Apartment which is independent from the main house. cozy and comfortable. Owner was nice.

Very minor only - not a complaint - but perhaps a few more power points could be added in the room, for convenience.

Breakfast was great, lots of fresh locally grown produce of which the host Robin was quite proud. The room was large and easy to keep warm. We had a balcony room with a view of the surrounding mountains and sheep grazing adjacent to the property. Robin gave us good tips on things to see.

pillows getting close to use by date perhaps? bit too soft, but hardly a problem. Otherwise, can't fault the place.

spacious, very clean and had everything one could possibly think of. Washing machine even. The host was very attentive and extremely helpful & friendly, and the house pet dog was also very welcoming and friendly. The gardens are an absolute delight and the efforts in organically growing their own herbs & vegetables are terrific. I would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent service.

Robin is a gem and so is the lodge. We arrived late and were still made welcome. The house is fabulous, everything is in tip top condition, it's warm, spotless and spacious. Great linen and lots of great little touches such as chocolates by the bed, great quality toiletries etc. The breakfast was amazing. Robin helped us plan our next steps. This was our favourite stay in New Zealand. Thanks so much Robin.

I was quite unwell and spaced out when I stayed here, so didn't do much or interact with many people but the owner was very friendly and cooked a fantastic breakfast, much of the food being local or from his own garden. Clean and good facilities.

Stunning place to stay the rooms were exceptional. Breakfast was lovely and more than you could eat. The host was absolutely amazing so helpful and accommodating. If we visit this area again we will defianlty be back.

We stayed in the separate bungalow. It is cosy, big and comfortable. The kitchen is well equiped. There is washing mascine as well. The location is very nice, the garden is beautiful. We really loved to stay there.

Absolutely brilliant property , comfort plus. Room size was fabulous and our own balcony when we were able to eat. The guest lounge had fridge, microwave, jug for endless tea and coffee and refrigerating supplies. Very quiet and dark to ensure a great nights sleep. Set in a beautiful garden and easy driving distance to Greymouth. Host was very welcoming, breakfast superb and sent off with explicit driving directions to our next stop. Put Oak Lodge on your wish list.

Had to be careful standing up from the table in the corner because of the tv shelf directly above it - had a couple of near misses.

A quiet and peaceful setting only a short drive out of town. The Studio Unit has everything you need for a pleasant stay and the outside deck is a nice area to relax in a rural setting. The friendly Golden Retriever was a bonus.

From our arrival to departure nothing was too much trouble We were upgraded to a beautiful bedroom with en suite facilities The lounge with balcony offered extra comfort The magazines were particularly welcome as were the books and leaflets plus complimentary tea , coffee and access to a microwave, kitchen facilities. The breakfast was all we could wish for and an evening stroll around the extensive gardens was just perfect ....

The owner was really pleasant , friendly and extremely helpful with a lovely dog. . Lovely quiet location in the grounds of the main b and b . Useful kitchenette etc and a really comfortable king size bed . Surrounded by great views on all sides and beautiful gardens . So nice had breakfast on the patio in the morning .
