How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Plans changed and we ended up with a vehicle arriving late. Unable to book parking out of hours. Told by staff that carpark was full. It wasn't.

This property has had a few bad reviews about noise, parking and collecting the keys. We were there on a Friday night but were far enough away to only hear very faint music, so it depends on where you are situated in the building. We had parking confirmed in advance, and it was available, despite a full car park on the Friday night. Also, we have a small car, so fitting the allotted space was straightforward. Finally we arrived just as reception was closing, so had no problem getting the key. So if you have a large car, arrive late, don't confirm parking, and end up on the wrong side of the building, you might not enjoy your stay as much as we did! However, 'city view' was a bit of a heroic description. We were looking at the building on the other side of the alleyway ...
Clean and spacious room, right in the centre of town and only a 5 minute walk to the Town Basin restaurants and the excellent Hundertwasser Art Centre.

The view was of a roof and an alleyway but the room more than made up for it.

The lift wasn't operating properly at the time. Had to carry my luggage up and down the stairs. 5.30am you could here the person in the next room using the toilet.
Great location in town, close to supermarkets, cafés, pubs and fast food. The staff are professional and friendly. Good size rooms, clean with modern decor. Secure car park.

the cleaning wasn’t so great. usually if staying more than 1 night the shampoo and body wash would get replaced. it wasn’t and fortunately I noticed so I could go buy some before the shop closed. also there is no easy way to check in parking during the day is horrendous, closest parking is about 500M away and it’s paid parking which is annoying if I only need 5-10 min to check in

We could hear the guest next door snoring! Not what we expected at all. The bathroom door was not able to be shut properly.
The apartment was warm, clean and the bed was comfortable. The kitchenette was well equipped.

Secure parking was beneath the building with entry by key only. Perfect as we had surfboards. Great location for exploring museum, art gallery and Saturday market. Would stay again although it was noisy from either a bar nearby or vehicles with boom boxes.

The street noise was very loud, particularly in the evenings (we stayed for the weekend, and it was a struggle to sleep both nights due to noise). We brought a rental car with us, and although I did manage to navigate the underground carpark, it was a VERY tight fit!
Great sized rooms, clean, very comfortable beds and fantastic location close to everything in the CBD!

The parking. We did not see on your website that we had to book a car park, its not something we have done before. Other places we've stayed have had plenty of parking. Staff however were very helpful
New to hotel and area. Reception and welcome were absolutely awesome. Instructions were clear, friendly. Did not know where to eat, suggestions helpful. Will reccomend to anyone. Loved the first night so much we booked another night.
