Everything!! Amazing location, property is superb designed and exceptionally clean, very comfortable beds and awesome owners!!! The food is fresh, tasty made in the house and the chef baked yummy croissants. Next visit we must have dinner there as well!

What’s not to like! This fabulous country house is perfect. The rooms are exquisitely appointed, spotless and luxurious. The landscaping is amazing with every view a sensory sensation. As for the view, well it is almost indescribable as it changes like a gorgeous painting every time you look up. Gary and Robert have perfectly situated the house to take advantage of this extraordinary view. In our mind though Gary and Robert are the piece de resistance of the entire experience. Warm, engaging intelligent and with a witty humorous way to turn a phase. We felt so welcome and so much at home in their company.

We only stayed one night!!!! The surprise of snow on the mountains at sunrise had lasted a little longer!

Excellent in all aspects

It was a wonderful stay! We got a very warm welcome and kind treatment during our stay. It’s more than accommodation but more like home and friends reunion. I was impressed by the beautifully designed house and the owner’s good taste in art. I wish I would revisit again. With my best wishes to Gary and Robert!

Beautiful views of the Cheviot countryside. Gorgeous gardens and lovely farm animals to walk amongst, even got to bottle feed 3 cheeky lambs! Room was very private, clean and comfortable. Beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Delicious continental breakfast with produce straight off the farm. Delightful hosts Gary and Robert made us feel so welcome and comfortable and we enjoyed chatting about farming and agriculture

That we couldn’t stay longer!

A magnificent country home - luxurious and welcoming. We stayed in the kowhai bedroom which was a delight. A little library to relax in & a lounge room . We sat outside in the evening with a glass of wine mesmerised by the view - panoramic hills & paddocks & a pond with native plantings. A beautiful garden surrounds the house - we were kindly shown the large veg garden & we met the adorable puppies!

Wow wow wow. I don’t have enough words to describe how beautiful this property and its surroundings are. Super comfy. Gorgeous food. The view is to die for. Very modern and clean. Our hosts were just the best. Could not do enough for us. Best B&B on the planet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The location was marvellous with amazing views of the mountains. We enjoyed the hot tub after our arrival from Blenheim, Robert was very kind in showing us the stars and seeing the Milky Way later in the evening, a wonderful bonus. Gary was a genial and friendly host. We enjoyed the fresh fruit at breakfast plus the croissants.

wow, wow & wow. the most stunning views from the rooms, lounge and dining room, and the spar in the garden. Absolutely beautiful rooms with absolutely everything you need. Gary & Robert were fabulous hosts & couldn’t do enough for you. if you like, the dogs will take you for a walk as well.

Loved everything, as this was a surprise holiday for my partner. Both Gary and Robert went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect for her . What started as what I thought was going to be a simple night in a bed and breakfast turned into the best holiday my partner and I have ever been on. breathtaking views, 5 star treatment, but by far the best part was making friends with Gary and Robert. Truly the best holiday ever. Thank you guys, and we can't wait to come back and see you two again.

Ribbonwood is a quiet and peaceful place. I enjoyed watching the stars come out, it was amazing with no light polution of a city.

We Arrived late they were very welcoming. What amazing hosts we had to leave at 6am they got up early and insisted on giving us Beautiful breakfast. Spa was a wonderful end to a very exhausting day. Gardens were stunning. Will be back to relax and enjoy this wonderful stay
