Very tired decor, with damaged furniture, thred bare carpet, curtains that didn't block the light. The whole place needs updating and a refresh. There were no pictures or artworks around and the restaurant was not on for dinner.

I was so so disappointed when I arrived, the photos looked nothing like what it actually is in real life. So musty, I could barely breathe. I had my inhaler with me and my allergies constantly flared up for the last two nights I stayed. The condition of the room I stayed in for a Double Room is absolutely disgusting. This place is so out of date and should be closed!!! When I lifted the mattress protector I found blood and pubic hair!. I slept with extra towels and a rug I had brought with me!. Stains all over the carpet, ripped carpet too. I wore double socks cause god knows how old the carpet is!!. I didn’t take a photo, but what seemed to be human poo smeared on the bathroom door… I ended up putting towels on all the furniture as each bit of furniture was over 20 years and full of dust. I wanted to sleep in my car as I felt so gross being in the room. I was constantly itching and had a headache the whole time. I was expecting much more cleanliness and proper hygiene. As someone who has worked as a hotel inspector. This is by far the grottiest (Motel) I’ve ever STAYED. It should be a one star and the only time I wanted to dine and eat… I was at one point so agitated with allergies, and thought about leaving the hotel completely… This so called Hotel should be shut, the amount of health and safety issues is beyond me. Appalling. Just goes to show, go for a bit more price and stars as this (motel) was well BELOW average…

When we arrived my mum used the wrong card and it declined so the reception charged an extra $100 because our card didn’t work. We paid with a debit card. When we entered, the room did not look like the photos, we stayed in it for one night then asked to change rooms as my Aunty was planning on staying with myself and my mum and we only had 2 single beds in one tiny room. We paid an extra $160 on top of $510 for an extra person not including the $100 bond. There was no body wash/shampoo. They didn’t top up our toilet paper and milk until our 3rd day and when we checked out I had to yell for help for 15 minutes as no one was at the desk, we told the reception my Aunty didn’t stay so did we still pay for the third person. He said we paid for comfort not for an extra person and we don’t get any money back. We left with our $100 bond after he checked our room. The staff I’m presuming were only a husband and a wife and only ever saw them at the counter twice. I’m not one to review but I strongly do not recommend this hotel, the price does not match the stay. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days

We were thankful to have somewhere to stay as most accomodation in Lower Hutt had no vacancies. We enjoyed the beds, they were comfy.

I didn't like the owners yelling at us thinking we were stupid in booking when they haven't been operating for half the year So can you please update your records and take this motel off your registry so it doesn't happen to anyone else especially if they are traveling with young children

Arrived at this place to be told that they hadn't been operating for the last 6 months, so we were stuck late at night trying to find another motel which was not looking very good considering it being in the holidays and all being booked out or booking officers closing in 10 mens. To end a great week traveling around the north island we had to end up sleeping in our vehicle till morning then caught ferry back to the south island and traveled to Nelson

Very noisy road noise, heard the road sweeper go pass at stupid o’clock. Not overly clean, very budget wish we had stayed else where. The curtains didn’t even cover the window properly. Would not recommend. Smell downstairs from the oil used in the cooking all through the lobby.

The place was old and outdated, not clean, had a awful smell throughout. Couldn't shower properly the water was going all over, the toilet seat was replaced so it didn't quite fit properly and was sliding around. The linen was clean. Will never go there again. Was very disappointed. Definitely not as advertised.
