I was charged a $200 bond after I had booked the motel as an extra charge on my credit card clearly a breach of the Fair Trading Act as was not made aware at time of booking, The owner was very hard to deal with.

Shower was just a dribble only. Not really usable. Hot water is very slow in basin. Heating only just adequate in the living area. Access for unit 7 was a difficult hilly driveway. No turnaround.

The bond that was ridiculous. The place was cold and the walls were thin. The TV was approx 12 inch so couldn't really watch from the bed. The shower head was broken and there were holes in the wall so not good value for money

the rooms could do with a deep clean, change the pillows by buying new ones. sheets also could do with a change and new ones brought. Did not feel like it was value for money

the Motel did not feel like it was clean & had smokers close to the rooms where the smell wafted in. This did not make you feel safe with people outside smoking and talking loudly. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows had a strange smell.

Shortly after moving in, a cockroach scuttled across the wall. Took a photo and the manager said 'that doesnt prove its a cockroach. Where is it?" I explained it had scuttled away. His manner was surly and disinterested in any level of customer service. It was a wet night and the traffic noise was intrusive. We abandoned our 3 nights for only one.

Members of staff not available apart from check in. Beds were tired pillows flat curtains hanging off the hook holes in the curtain furniture old and tired pictures on booking.com were not representative of the condition of this accommodation

We had major issues with the power which one night forced us to go to bed early as we had no power or lights. When we advised management they tried to help straight away, but it took a while to get a full resolution to the issue.

The staff were friendly and helpful and available when we needed to make contact. It was safe, simple and quiet.

Half the reason why we chose the motel was for the spa pool however when we arrived we were told, due to covid it was closed. We may have reconsider our stay if we had known prior to booking.

bit of a walk to CBD. spa has been “out of action” for over 12 months - first it was broken, now it’s covid. this should be advertised as it’s misleading if it’s not available.

After reading such good reviews about this motel before I booked it, after our experience we were extremely disappointed with this motel. I know that covid has put some people into some challenging situations for some people but I expect that basic needs for customers would be met. I am pretty understanding and usually positive about most things but it is extremely hard to find anything positive about this motel. The room we stayed in had a musty smell to it, the window in the main area with the double bed was broken so it was literally open we did not get much sleep the first night due to the noise from the traffic, it is quiet a busy road that the motel is on… the shower drain was blocked. the toilet also got blocked and we didn’t even use it when it blocked up as we were out all day and had just returned back… it was making a gurgling sound hence why we checked it. it did unblock itself through the night though. the service was not as good as many of the other places we have stayed at around nz.. trying to get anything ie dishwashing liquid, towels was frustrating. We left early as we were very unhappy with our accomodation if all the other motels/hotels were not booked out we would have certainly left.. and stayed somewhere else.

Lack of ventilation especially in the extra bedroom - window security latches would have ensured the room was less musty. The motel is on a main road, so noisy until late at night.
