The Homestead is a jewel. Everything is just perfect and the host Kahu an incredibly nice and lovely lady who takes so much care of the house and the surrounding. Amazing!! We loved it.

The cottage was spacious for our family of four, with very comfortable beds and large rooms, which were spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Kahu was an extremely welcoming but unobtrusive host and we enjoyed the benefits of the 'pick your own' salad/herb garden as well as the generously stocked pantry with breakfast provisions and treats. We made use of the (very clean) BBQ and outdoor table and seating and loved feeling like we were country house guests on a large estate! The cottage is well located reasonably close to Taupo town and to the lake kayak hire in Acacia Bay, but feels super private and very quiet. Highly recommend this property for a short or longer stay, our family loved everything about it and especially the well maintained gardens!

It was all perfect.

This is a truly beautiful home - spacious, comfortable, well equipped and set in a beautiful garden. It is peaceful and relaxing with many gorgeous outdoor seating areas. Inside it has everything you could possibly want and need including a very well equipped kitchen. All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. It warrants a long stay - we regretted we had only booked two nights!

Just be aware of the step going down the hallway as its a little steep for those with mobility issues. Not a major but only thing I could think of.

A beautiful home in a quiet space where you can hear the birds sing. The home has loads of character with modern facilities. Very clean and comfortable, well resources, rooms are spacious, comfy and air con was well used.

The Homestead has been one of the best baches we have stayed at. Kahu the host is friendly and helpful. The house is clean and tidy with full air conditioning. Large bed rooms, modern bathroom. The decking and porch area is amazing. Pleanty of spaces to eat, sunbathe or read a book. The Gardens are well kept and lush with colour. A 5 min drive away is Acaicia Bay, probably one of the top swimming spots in NZ.. Taupo water is warm calm clean. Acacia bay is sheltered too.

Very quiet location in beautiful gardens. Very tastefully decorated with extremely comfortable beds. The whole property was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything that we needed and more.

The house was set in stunning gardens and the accommodation was fantastic. Nothing has been left to chance. There were so many lovely little touches that we wished we were staying much longer

The gardens and attention to detail in this home are charming. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was so restful, and there are so many aspects to soak up the lovely gardens and relax. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could think of. There are characterful touches in each room, and everything is very clean.

We much enjoyed the spaciousness both of the property and the well equipped house, its rural location but close to the lake and good cafe and restaurant. It was warm and comfortable. Kahu came to meet us on arrival and had turned on the heaters , much appreciated on a cool evening.

Great communication from the host. Lovely quiet location. Cute and cosy cottage. Lots of supplies available to make it easy to prepare meals. Real milk provided (not UHT!).
