Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandAs several of the reviews have stated, it is a bit dated and during the day there is a bit of traffic noise, and the rooms aren't well sound proofed.
Good location just off the main Pohara beach and easy to access the beauty of Golden Bay. The apartment was a good size and had all the amenities for a few nights stay.

Location - a long way from anywhere. Our two bedroom apartment was very spacious which was appreciated afterstaying in some very cramped units.

I had originally booked accommodation in Collingwood but unfortunately when I arrived it was not a self-contained unit as I had thought. Had to park my car some distance away, lug heavy bag to unit across wet grass and not a good experience. Only a communal "outdoor" kitchen and no TV. I had one night of the three booked and did not enjoy it at all. Luckily I found Apartments on Abel had two nights available. Even though I had to pay for 2 nights I hadn't planned for, it was worth it. Apartments on Abel, very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again Ease of access by collecting key from lockbox. Appreciated a later check out at 11am.

New ZealandNoisy road. Miles from any shops. Old and tired even tho’ painted and clean. Multi plugs hanging from power points. Use one appliance at a time or reset button went off. Cook top didn’t work at all. No plug near any mirror for blow dryer. Mine, as one not supplied. Very high price for amenity.
