I have nothing especial against the place. Maybe just 2 buts. Camp is a bit close to the town, as commented by others, so it's true that some lights might affect the visibility. Good sunset, not that good sunrise. Second one is a general one, not only for this camp but in general for all of them. I think prices in general are too high for what it is. So in general you pay for the experience rather than the place itself. (but as said, issue is generalized in all camps). So for the general price, this one was quite a good option.

Staff is really helpful and kind. Good conversations with owner and son. Nice bonfire at night. Food was really good. I was alone in the camp and was afraid of the variety and quality... but nothing bad. Dinner was quantious and varied. Breakfast a little bit less options but still more than enough and big quantities too. You will not be hungry. Rooms are wide and clean with bathroom attached (like camping)

The dinner was exceptional, great food in the desert beside the campfire. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our guide was very informative and fun, we had a great time dune bashing and seeing the sunset. There were lots of activities on offer.

We had a very long wait until supper (after 9pm) and the chicken was still raw.

The staff made this mini break. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful- from helping me drive up the hill, joking with my parents and mending the toilet after my Dad broke it! we loved Majid and his relationship with his camels!!!

There is no AC in the tents which makes them quite hot during the day. The attached bathroom is rudimentary with low water pressure.

The host Anwar was fantastic! We were the only guests in the facility (the season just started) and the staff took very good care of us. Anwar went out of his way to keep us entertained and help us with the rest of our trip. We had a nice dinner by the campfire and a hearty breakfast.

The camp is quite close to the nearest city and highway. You could see lights from both and the sound of the highway which spoils a bit the experience

Everything was OK.

The services are limited due to is a camp in the dessert. Anyhow no complains about the ammount of food, water, tea, etc. Excellent experience if you want to be in the dessert, watch and touch camels, feed them, etc. The guide Qusay really loves his job and always try tourists to have an excellent time. Full recommended the 4 hours dessert tour were you can do a lot of activities all in one.

We spent a night in there, and it was great. The sunset at the top of the dunes, the delicious dinner, the fire in the dark of the night and the chats with the friendly owner, really really kind to answer to all my questions about the Omani culture. Finally a big breakfast and a ride with a camel.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed exceptional hospitality . Thank you very much for this beautiful experience in your desert. Definitely book sunset tour with the 4WD, a highlight! Also the camel riding in the early morning is recommended.

The food was unbelievably good, even prepared at our request. The staff were genuine, friendly and incredibly helpful. We got stuck in the sand and they rescued us! Could not recommend this camp enough for your stay in the desert.

everything is charged extra (Sandboarding on the dune in front of the house is 3 OMR) pick up is 15 OMR for a 10 minute-car-ride. and it’s charged twice (one time to the camp, then back after check out) owners tried to sell activities

This is such a nice place and totally recommended to anyone visiting Oman. Best way to enjoy camping in the desert with a bit of comfort. You can see people complaining about some things that don't make any sense, such as mosquitoes. It's the desert, after all. Just remember it's a camping in the dunes and enjoy the experience. It was very pleasant to sit by the fire after dinner and have a enjoyable conversation with some locals and other visitors. I had almost forgotten how amazing the sky looks like at night when city lights aren't there to spoil the view. The owner is such a character and very helpful.

Shared bathrooms. Water not running well in hand wash sinks. Shampoo and bath gel not provided. Fire place outside the tent not available. Games for children not available.

No variety in food served for both breakfast and dinner. Price is extremely high comparing to benefits. with same price I can stay in 4 star hotel in Dubai. A Price of 1 120 Omani rials for 1 night is crazy !
