We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesSeveral of the floor tiles were broken and/or popping up in our room. No doubt this was due to a bit of settling of the unit. This small maintenance issue was our only complaint and had no impact on our experience at this absolutely amazing place!
It was a privilege to stay in this unique "eco-lux hotel" set at 1,450 meters above sea level on a slope of Jebel Shams. A 4x4 is necessary to reach this destination. From Al Hamra, there are frequent signs leading you to and up the 8km winding road. Each room is individually placed to optimize views and privacy. The walkways between buildings are very stable with a secure walking surface and handrails on either side. Changes in elevation are moderated across the distance with only a few steps at a time. The staff was professional and gracious. Dinner and breakfast were delicious buffet meals. The room was well-designed and had the desired upscale amenities. Of course, our favorite feature was the floor to ceiling windows and the balcony which ran across the front of the room and looked out on that amazing view. We enjoyed the views every moment of our stay.... literally from the moment we arrived till sunset, then from sunrise to checkout. We're already looking forward to a repeat visit someday soon!

GermanyThe room was getting on in years and did not meet expectations for the price. For example, some tiles on the floor were loose, there was only one bedside lamp, the (old) fan heater was broken and to top it all off, the blind in the bathroom fell down because the ceiling was soaked in heavy rain. Unfortunately, the reception also lacked the almost proverbial Omani hospitality. We asked twice at reception whether the Al Hoota cave would be open after the rain and the answer was "no problem". Unfortunately, we went there for nothing as the cave was closed due to the after-effects of the rain.
The location of the complex and the view, especially from the restaurant and the pool, are very beautiful. Please note that the hotel can only be reached by 4WD. The waiters in the restaurant are very friendly and the food (Indian style) was very tasty.

United KingdomAsked for a cot, was told they had one. Arrived and was told they didn’t. Then saw one sitting on one of the paths. Saw it taken in one direction and then a couple of hours later in another direction. It was very amusing. Try not to be in room 19 at the end. Wire fence takes away from the view to the right and rooms in front take away from forward view.
Loved the pool (I enjoyed that it was freezing cold, my wife did not). Obviously the view. Breakfast and dinner were good. I enjoyed the drive up.sunrise was epic, make sure to leave curtains open. The bath is excellent.

As the name denotes, the view of the property is incredible. Especially in sunset and full moon. Reaching via a stabilized road was a challenge but OK, I guess a 2WD can also reach with some struggle.

United KingdomI would suggest that the breakfast could be less "packety". Also, I would recommend the windows of the rooms be made tinted. The views are tremendous, but I would not be confident/comfortable to take the advantage of having a bath or staying in the room.
The rooms/pods were very clean and the pool was an excellent set for some sundown pictures. The set menu dinner (and breakfast) was great. The 4 course dinner was well prepared, the breakfast was fine (if a little processed). The staff were very friendly
