Construction on the street outside. But the hostel felt like an oasis. All of Bocas is under construction at the moment so that isn’t unique to this accom. Would like a hammock somewhere to chill.

Lovely single room with ensuite. TV in room. Excellent central location. Great kitchen facilities with own section of fridge. Friendly reception staff who kept my luggage for a while after checkout. Very satisfactory stay.

Not a single thing was bad.

The place is close to everything and it feels like a house. The staff is great they keep the house totally organized, clean and helped us with information we needed to make our activities. Worthy to stay with them.

Had a private single room but it was hot like a sauna… because the windows are broken in that room. Construction outside made it noisy all day until about 10pm… but that will end in 2 months and all hotels in this area struggle with the same issue

Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. And helpful - they turned around my laundry very quickly! There’s also a great and clean kitchen which I wasn’t expecting! I had a single private room and it was perfect for what I needed. Great location too.

The rooms were nicely sized, the kitchen is great for self catering or just storing snacks, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The outdoor seating area was great for relaxing and eating.

The hotel was conveniently located, right in the centre, close to restaurants, supermarkets, and water taxis. I had a single room and it was really comfortable, I liked that the shared bathroom was for the two single rooms only. Yes there were road works but that didn’t spoil my time there. Bathroom was cleaned every day and the kitchen was spotless. Owner was very friendly and gave great recommendations on where to go and what to do. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

There are some roadworks in all this small town but didn't bother me.

Hostal Hansi is very well situated in Bocas' center, 30 m to water taxis, a lot of restaurants and supermarkets around, 100 m to buses to the beaches. Very practical. There's a new owner since 8 months who strives to improve all the equipments. I had a double deluxe room, good size with new ventilator on the ceiling and air condition, a small terrace with table and 2 chairs, some coat hangers, nightstand. The large double bed is comfortable, also the pillows. The bathroom has a good size with hot shower and shelves. The common kitchen has 2 sinks and 2 gas stoves, so we can be cooking all together at the same time. The fridge is very clean. There is inside a place with a number corresponding to your room. There are 2 tables and chairs near the reception and some tables and chairs outside on a large terrace facing the street. Good vibe. All tourists and owner very friendly. My favourite beach on Bocas del Toro: Bluff beach. To go to Boquete I recommend the trip boat and shuttle via Chiriqui grande better than Almirante. Buy the ticket at Pana Bocas officina next to the police station 50 m from Hansi.

The wood surroundings gave it a bit of a “German chalet” old fashioned feel. The room I stayed in was a single bed room and did feel pretty small but I was aware of this when I booked.

Nice central location. Very clean. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure guests had a good stay. Eg helping me to book onward transport and providing information about the local area.

The only downside is the street that the hostel is in. It is dirty and when it rains the canal overflows and it smells quite bad. Our balcony faced a different street so it was okay.

Probably best value for money on isla colon! Nice balcony in the double room. All very clean. Nicely equipped and very clean kitchen. Kind staff.
