I really enjoyed my stay there, just about everything!. The compound is very large and spacious, nice, clean pathways and garden views ,the room was very clean and and comfortable. The restaurants was spotless with a friendly staff and great tasting food. Also the live entertainment superb!

Food was terrible and no shade in any of the pools No ac in the restaurants or builds anywhere. Old school keys for your rooms You need to be able to walk a lot of stairs For someone with a stroller this is not a good place.

weird property. First off, you better be in good shape as there are about 10m stairs you must navigate. Get your dinner reservations on Night 1 because they overbook the property and you can't get a table. Drink lines are stupid long and then they make every margarita by scratch for each customer. Why not juts pour a pitcher? Food was.......meh. Staff was alright but none of them were overly excited to be at work. Overall 6/10 location. I'd keep looking.

If you don’t like noise don’t stay close to the pools as music plays all day. I didn’t mind too much during the day but it started early in the morning.

1. The rooms DO NOT include bottled water or ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. 2. They advertised a stocked mini bar in the room, but the refrigerator was completely empty. 3. There was no information regarding restaurant hours or a way to call to make a reservation to any of them. If you go to the restaurant to make a reservation, they send you to the lobby. 4. There were no maps of the property in the rooms, so you are constantly asking staff personnel where things are. 5. There was no information of the Wi-Fi password in the room. 6. There are ZERO elevators on the property so if you’re assigned a room on the third floor, be prepared to hump three flights of stairs with your luggage. 7. If you are in a wheelchair, you can forget going to the Italian restaurant for dinner since the only access to it is by stairs. 8. The entertainment show that takes place at night can on seat a small fraction of the total capacity of the resort, so if you have any intentions to see the show, arrive early! 9. I booked an ocean view, but upon arrival it was a partial ocean view with the water slide being the main view (room 1021) 10. Room keys are turnkey attached to a string to hang around your neck WITH YOUR ROOM NUMBER ENGRAVED ON THE KEY. Imagine your key being discovered by someone while you’re participating in an activity. They don’t have to guess what room the key is from. This is a security risk and the resort states that they will not reimburse you for any items stolen from your room. 11. All drinks poolside and from the bar are served in paper cups that become very soggy after few minutes of usages and of course most of the drinks are watered down. I didn’t see not one intoxicated person on the property. 12. This resort is filled with people from all over the world and the ONLY two beers they off is Panama and Panama light. Surely, they can offer imported beers. 13. The restaurants that do not require a reservation are all buffet style. The wait staff was not very attentive.

I would not recommend this property to others. We received extremely poor customer service, were not greeted or welcomed by staff, did not get help when requested to schedule transport or fix an air conditioner, and they would not honor the price quoted by customer service. The staff member Ceila in particular was unfriendly, unhelpful, and unwelcoming. We loved visiting Panama but unfortunately this was a very frustrating and disappointing part of our time. The staff made this experience not enjoyable.

The views were lovely and we enjoyed some of the activities.

I can't think of anything I didn't like!

Everything exceeded our expectations! The room was clean, quiet, with a view was of the ocean. Royal Decameron was able to fulfill our request for a room facing the ocean, which we had requested. The beach was clean and pristine. We took our early morning walks on the beach, which was very beautiful! The pools were clean and accommodating. There always seems to be enough room for everyone, no matter what you want to do. The staff are amazing, everywhere you go!

We had a very nice stay at the Decameron. We enjoyed food and beautiful grounds. All workers were very professional and courteous. Anyela Jurado at the reception desk was extremely nice. She changed our room to be closer to the beach after hearing that we are celebrating here our 42nd wedding anniversary. Muchísimas gracias.

The air conditioning system of our particular room was deficient to say the least. It shut off every 4-6 hours and will not cool the room so we slept both nights in sweat. The drinks were overall not good. The only good drink we found was the lemonade and the Frapuccino. The food was NOT good at all, we were suffering stomachaches since we got there and as soon we left we were good the next day.

The waterslide, pools, sport facilities were good. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The property was not up to date. There were no resturant options for breakfast and lunch only buffet. We did not receive a calendar for us to know which buffet was open for the day we winged it each day.

The worst part was entertainments and security. Entertainment team not even try to speak English, so we had no idea what is going on, they even intentionally were avoiding us when picking people for activities. This was highly disappointed for my daughter, who really wanted to take part in children activities. Besides this, the activities were dumb (like man sex contests) and not appropriate for children. I was not felt safe in hotel, especially when different traders or strange people on horses were staring on you when you were playing in the pool, they watched each day and staff was doing nothing. There were the rules how to behave on the pools, but security not enforced them at all. So, some guest was doing everything, like jumping in water just in front of you, dive that you were not able to play in the pool or block you if you want to play because it was "they spot". Other staff is cleaning and food. In our room, were chewing gums put on the furniture and the staff clean it only when I pointed out it to them. Other thing is that each day you have no idea where it would be the diner, they were changing restaurants each day, so you have to each day run across the hotel to get know where the diner would be. Even when I tried to learn this day before, it was impossible. Other thing is food, which was boring, and you are not able to find European style food, what is important when you travel with children.

The hotel has great localization. Pools are very nice and comfortable, I like especially this on the higher level. Rooms are comfortable and well furnisher.

We have a lot of issues with this hotel. Terrible to go with family. Is a old hotel without mainteinance. The food isnt good and the staff didnt help us with the problems in the room (water all the time in the floor).

It's an old facility that dearly needs renovation. The shower went from cool/cold to scalding in our unit with low flow. GThe room was pretty basic compared to other chain resorts we have been to. The nooise from the pool recreational activities did not suit us.

Staff was friendly and attentive. We liked the smaller buildings "campus" feeling over a big resort. We had a very good meal at the two specialty restaurants we tried.

It is very difficult to move older adults and babies by car due to such high stairs and the low capacity of the buses that transport guests.

1) I got hurt at the ankle and went to my room. I called the staff so they could bring me ice and they simply replied to go get it myself! 2) The beach is not swimable. These jellyfish all over. 3) It was off season and half of the site was closed. The staff keep saying "we are short staff, sorry" ...but booking.com charges us the full regular amount. ....very bad service on both end! Don't go to this hotel or at least not when it's off season and don't use booking.com. I'll make sure all my contacts know about this. Nancy

weak/broken air conditioning systems. Not the same service you see at other all inclusive resorts. if you expect the same service as resorts in Mexico you will be disappointed. comparatively I would say this is more like a 3 star then a 4 based on food, accommodations, amenities and service.
