Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicLocation is bittersweet- beautiful views as right next to Mirador San Cristobal, it's secluded, quiet, and away from all the hustle and bustle, that's the sweet part. The bitter part - it's located on top of a hill so be prepared for a 15 mins steep climb up, taxis will have hard time getting there and the tours will reject to pick you up as the street is too tiny for a minivan to enter - INSIST with the tour operators to pick you up in Plaza San Cristobal (next door) otherwise you ll have to walk 15 mins in freezing cold in early mornings to the main sq for a pick up and then back up after a day full of hiking.
They have heating, hot water & hairdryer, a Cusco kit any girl traveller needs during the cold nights. The hotel is basic but clean, staff is very helpful, good value quality/price, everything as described.

GermanyThe property is older as what it looks in the photos. It was not a problem but had to mention it.
The room is spacious and clean and the hosts are AMAZING!!! The bed is good and warm. Breakfast is okay and location very central although you need to climb many stairs to arrive.

BulgariaThe bathroom is super outdated and needs urgent update as the shower doesn't work properly. It's up on the hill so requires a bit of hiking to get there. Bit for the money it was ok.
Good value for the money, rooms are small, but ok. Staff is polite.

CanadaAccess by foot is up a hill. Given the altitude of Cusco, difficult for untrained travellers or if you have luggage. But you can take a taxi up the hill if you want.

AustraliaThe most friendly staff i have experienced. Really looked after me and ensured everything went perfectly. They cared very much about me. The location is close to the centre and many inka ruins. Great views over the city and mountains. Good exercise for me walking around the hilly historic paths and roads. Highly highly recommended.

United StatesThe staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast each morning was wonderful, and they very kindly accomodated vegetarian restrictions. The hotel is very close to Sacsahuamn, and in a very vertical part of the city. Prepare for many, many stairs getting back to the hotel - or a few cab rides! The hotel is very cute, and has a lot of personality. We originally booked two nights of our 7 night trip, and ended up staying four nights there, two in Aguas Calientes, and one more on the way back through Cusco. We would definitely return.

SlovakiaFirst night we had a room that was a few levels lower that we paid(by a hotel mistake), there was really cold and in the bathroom was not window, there was hole... On the next day they gave us room for what we paid, it was better but for example they haven't a hairdryer in the rooms, I asked and they gave me a hairdryer that almost fire... They have breakfast, but really I am not sure that after you will not be hungry
IT was close to the city center and a pleasant woman the owner of this hotel, she gave us an ice cream for free for the complications

United KingdomCharged more on arrival than booking.com suggested I had to ring the doorbell every time I wanted to enter the premises, felt like I was living with someone rather than a hotel experience. My room had an inward facing window to the lounge area which had really poor sound proofing. Basically I could hear every word of people in the lobby even when I had the window closed. Guests were coming and going ringing doorbell at all times of day and night, which disturbed rest a few times.
Location was excellent. Close to many shops and attractions. The staff made the bed and emptied the bin everyday.
