How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Location is near everything (within a few minutes walk), airport express stop, restaurants, supermarkets etc. Dorm room is big with big lockers and each bed has own light and power source. Adequate bathrooms/toilets with body wash and shampoo. Kitchen is big although some equipments need upgrading. Staff arr friendly and helpful with good English. Luggage storage is also available.

The facilities are dated and run down, and the room wasn’t particularly clean. No fan was provided so the room was quite hot
Very good location, right in Parque Kennedy. Staff were helpful when there were things we needed (for example, they forgot to provide towels when we checked in but they brought them promptly after we asked) or if we had questions. For a hostel it was surprisingly not too loud.

Room was hot even with requested fan. Fairly noisy until midnight. Staff were friendly and accommodating!

The room was spacious and comfortable Jorge and Hugo were amazing hosts and very helpful. You might think because of the nature of the business to be crowded and noisy but on the contrary was relax , chill and with a lot of attractions at a walking distance. I'll definitely come back. Thank you 😊

Quite noisy during the night (with earplugs it was fine); on our last day the water did not work at all and they only gave us 5 soles discount which was a bit disappointing

The wifi is awful, digital nomads avoid it! The kitchen is terrible most of the appliances are old & dirty, the beds are uncomfortable.
The location is fantastic & the bathrooms are nice.

One of the sinkers in the bathroom was not working. There were only 2 shared bathrooms I am not sure if there were more. I would have been nice to have a bathroom mat by the shower because it was getting all wet.
Very affordable with an excellent location. The kitchen looked well equipped and the bathrooms were spacious and big.

A very frosty, almost hostile “greeting” from the guy at reception. No welcome, no introduction, no smile, no happiness. He told me off for opening the front door too strongly (despite it being a pretty sticky door which seemed to sometimes require a firm push). Unfortunately detracted from the overall experience.
Perfect double room with a spacious clean bathroom in an ideal location. Fully equipped TV with Netflix etc. Ideal before a morning flight at a good price.

If you come here to sleep you won't,the music is loud till 1-2am everyday,there's so much noise from the street too

There is nobody clean up room of my 2 nights stay. Bin inside the room and toilet (inside) are full. Lately and limited breakfast time between 9.00-10.00 hrs. only. It is also lack of choice, so simple. Unsecurity!!! Can not lock dorm room by the reason of it is share room. How creapy!!!! Everyone can access your room??? Other hostel can provide a key card to me to access the room.

The room next to the pool table is a tad noisy in the day.
We only stayed from check in - 10pm between Airport transfer. Twin room with shared bathroom. We wished we had stayed here previously in Lima! Great location next to Kennedy Park and bus station, great facilities for a great price!

Private Bedroom number 4 has no soundproofing whatsoever. It sounds like if you were in the middle of the party on the other side of the street. Some improvements need to be done on those windows and balcony doors.
