Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaVery helpful and friendly staff. We was able to pay on card which is a massive help as getting cash outside Cusco is impossible as a foreigner. The lady even gave me cash back so i could get some food in town and petrol for my motorbike, she was amazing, not all Heros wear capes 🙂 She has secure locked parking for cars and motorbikes. She also has a shop at the bottom of the hotel. We got to pick or room which I've never had before, the hotel Is the tallest building in town and we had a 180 degree window view while there was a thunder storm. It was unbelievable watching the lighting in bed with a glass of wine.

NorwayEverything was amazing.
Nestled in an ideal location, this hidden gem is an absolute delight. The dedicated owner goes to great lengths to ensure that your stay is nothing short of perfection. Situated just 100 meters from the main road, you'll find ample covered parking, a thoughtful gesture of complimentary water and chocolates, and a scrumptious breakfast with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The owner is not just a gracious host but also a treasure trove of local knowledge. They can provide you with a wealth of information about the nearby attractions, including the awe-inspiring Rainbow Mountain and the culturally rich city of Cuzco, both of which are just a stone's throw away. In fact, the facilities here surpass those of many good hotels in Lima and Cuzco. I wholeheartedly recommend this place, and I'm already eagerly anticipating my next visit to experience the wonders of Rainbow Mountain and the charm of Cuzco. This is truly a remarkable destination that offers both comfort and convenience.

CanadaAbsolutely nothing, everything is perfect!
This little hotel, even though it is called Hostel, is the best hotel we stayed at for our entire 30-days Peru trip, even better than IBIS hotel in Lima. The hostess is so helpful and friendly, she waited for us in front of the hotel, when we drove by. She told me where to safely park our car, inside her courtyard. The hotel room is very well equipped, with everything you need for a goodnight sleep. Thank you so much for your wonderful treatment, we felt right at home after our tiring trip.

The hospitality was outstanding. The owners were available and accommodating to our group of 22. The rooms were clean and comfy (the water pressure is a little low), and the location is good for Rainbow Mountain.

Nice hostal in small city with safe car parking. Hosts were extremely helpful with providing us useful information on the region and where to go to. Whilst breakfast and dinner were not included, they put all at work to serve us a nice dinner and breakfast at the time we desired. Hosts also own a small shop that can be useful when you are on the road. Good wi-fi, good beds, hot shower!

CanadaPatti (La Jefa) is an absolute legend! I cannot say enough about how lovingly we were treated during our stay in this modest and unassuming little village between Cusco and Juliaca. Anyone looking for a base to go visit Rainbow Mountain on their own, I cannot recommend any hotel in Peru more highly if for no other reason than how pleasant and kind our hosts were. Thank you, Patti, for everything!

It was the best stay on our tour across Peru. Definitely the best place close to the Rainbow mountains and many other interesting places, better than Cusco. The room was warm, water in the shower as well, and the view was really nice. The personal was really friendly and helpful with our trips to Rainbow mountains and Waqrapukara, they always gave us instructions on how to get to the place. The breakfast was amazing. Warmly recommended!
