How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

They have two locations and it's confusing which one is the right one so check the address not just the name on the map. Basic but for the price it's good.
Hot water in the shower was very nice and unexpected. Bed pretty comfy, WiFi worked, staff were nice. Great value for the price.

The building tends to amplify the noise of banging closing doors.
Location was fantastic! 5 mins to main square and shopping street. Plenty of food around.

Room was a bit small, but it was ok as we were travelling with backpacks so didn't need much space. However, if someone is travelling with a suitcase then it might be a bit challenging.
Simple room but all was nice and clean, good bathroom with hot water and good light. Definitely great value for the money! Staff was friendly and we could check in when we arrived in the morning from Cusco, which was at 7:00 am. We appreciated it a lot as we were tired and wanted to get some extra rest. Also, there was a small heater in the room which worked perfectly and within just a few minutes, the room was nice and warm :)

Bed wasn’t overly comfy. The light in our bathroom didn’t work at the beginning but they did come and fix it.

The facilities aren’t amazing but honestly you get what you pay for. I totally recommend this hostel.
Great breakfast, great value for money. Great location, very clean room and bathroom. Heater in the room and very hot shower. GREAT STAFF, lovely people always available for whatever ! Hostel let us leave our luggage there while we toured the islands on Titicaca.

The owner is very helpful and trustworthy, and he takes care of everything. The place is not luxurous, but you have everything you need: a warm shower, nice beds, tv, breakfast, laundry service, touristic tours, luggage room, centric location, and more. It is a convenient place to stay in Puno.

A bit noisy as the walls are thin.
Good location, very close to the main square and the restaurants. Nice breakfast and very friendly staff. We were even able to store our leftover pizza in the fridge and warm it later. There was a heater in the room so we were not cold at night.

Very dated and could do with a bit of refurbishment. However for the price it was fine, bed was comfy and just needed the room to sleep and hit the road again.

The room was quite small for 3 people and the toilet was blocked. The bedding was pretty heavy but I think it's necessary for colder days.
Good location-5 minutes walk to the centre. Very friendly staff who kept our luggage for two days when we were on the trip and they allowed us to take a shower for free after coming back despite no longer staying for a night. Good breakfast- eggs, bread, jam, butter, selection of teas and coffee. Laundry service 6 soles per kilogram. They offer Titicaca Lake tours in good price.

The room was a bit dark and the shower clogged and pooled at our feet.
