Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThis is definitely NOT a four star hotel! Far from it. We originally received room without working hot water. Had to change it which took some time. Also AC did not work. However later we found out the other room had the same "style" of AC, non existent, although they said it works. No, this hotel does NOT have AC, its just a fan blowing warm air. That could be a problem sometimes in Lima. Rooms have old used/abused furniture, we had to ask for towels because there was only one for two people. Also, we stayed over the weekend and could not sleep much, because they rent the downstairs banquet room for parties. They were going on both Saturday and Sunday till midnight. Staff is not very helpful. And when asked for taxi it was super overpriced. Ended up calling Uber. Overall, will not stay again...
Very good location of course in the middle of Miraflores. Decent breakfast ( not a four star one )

NetherlandsThis hotel is 2 stars at the best. When we checked in, there were no towels. I call reception and I was told that they will deliver ASAP. Had to call again after 45 mins and they said they’ll look in another room if they can find towels. Not sure what it means but they did delivered the towels an hour later. The room itself is okay but bathroom had bad lighting and no ventilation. Pretty bad for a 4 star hotel.

CanadaI came back to hotel at 11pm and doors are locked and no one at front desk. I searched around for different door to use my card to get in and nothing. Called hotel 4 times waiting 20 minutes outside before guy for front desk comes. I was pissed. I had a friend with me and we were going to sit in the lobby and go over itinerary she had for me. I said we'll go to.my room and guy says I need to pay extra even though room book for two. After being more angry with nonsense we went to my room and 20 minutes later he's calling me room asking when I arrived and need to pay taxes. More angry I said this can't wait till the morning. Half hour later he calls again and says complaint we're making noise. Noice of what? We're talking...TV would make more noice. We go down after that and my friend us upset too Saud she feels like he's accused her as being a prostitute. Guys say he went up after complaint and didn't hear nice... do why call me and phone ringing and talking on phone would make noise. I walked my friend a few blocks to apartment and said I'd be back in 15 minutes. I come back and again no one there and I'm pounding on the door and finally comes out about 3 minutes later. I did absolutely nothing wrong. Nothing.. and even if I did bring a girl uts my business, I paid for 2 people. He said I can't have Peruvisn in my room. I said nothing anywhere states that and if so you better state it when booking. He ruined my stay there. I'm a world traveler and nit once have I ever incountered some one on a power trip. I stayed at tge Ibis previously and everything great. Not sure if the guy was pissed off because I challenged him on paying extra for someone else and he was going to cause an unpleasant situation. I made a complaint to lady at from desk in the morning and manager came. They were apologizing and very nice. I can't fault the other staff even when I checked in. I rated this hotel a 2 because he made it so unpleasant.

SwitzerlandWe have asked for airport shuttle but the hotel never replied the three emails I sent them. At checking, the receptionist gave us our room key and when we opened the door, they were already occupants in the room. Not the standards and quality of a 4-star hotel. Highly do not recommend it!
