Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe really liked everything because we were prepared. It is on a floating island so the only thing that may put some people off is there is a composting toilet which you would see on a boat. Trust us there was absolutely no smell to it but you don't want it to be a shock. There was an outdoor shower stall as well which we did not use but it was available. It in no way detracted from the place and as I said it was one of the most magical places we have ever stayed.
This was one of the most unique places we have ever stayed and Felix could not have been a better host. He is so genuinely friendly and helpful and his family was a delight. They are people you want to succeed and do well. The rooms are spacious and the view is amazing. The culture is so different from what we have come to expect and you can't help but just to fall into the relaxing rhythm of the islands.

GermanyAlthough there is nothing even close to complain for our stay at your beautiful island Felix, I would kindly ask you to talk to the driver you call for transfer. We got picked up after our Colca Canyon tour. The guide told us we shouldn't pay more than 10 soles for a taxi. As everything was pre-organized and we didn't have to take care about the pickup the 20 soles on arrival were ok for us. Unfortunately, when driving us to the bus station after checkout (even shorter distance), your friend charged us 50 soles, which was overprized and even his reaction showed us he had just ripped us off. It is such a pitty that our last impression of these amazing experience is a negative one. Please talk to him and make the prices transparent to guests before entering his car. As the first and last impression is really important, this tiny issue should be easily solved to not giving a tiny bad feeling on a stay that was outrages beside that.
Felix and his family are the best. We felt totally welcomed and they created a lovely home for us for two nights. We didnt have to care about anything as Felix organized all for us, and his kind family happily supported. You wont miss anything: Good fresh breakfast, selfmade dinner and even a warm bottle of water to heat up your bed in cold nights. As we were a bit sick we had to rest, but Felix and his family never stopped worrying about us getting better soon. We also got a tour through the community of the Uros and Felix explained the different Islands and how the people live with the nature of the lake titicaca. My favorite was definetely the soccer pitch which includes short swimming breakes when the ball ends up in the water :D It was a special stay with maybe the best hosts on our trip that openly showed us ther home and way of life. We learned a lot about the Uros' example of living with the nature and not against it. We will take a few lessons with us to connect our daily live with nature again. This was really inspiring.

AustriaStaying at Felix, is like staying at good friends place. Its really not that impersonal hotel stay but the real experience in how life is on Uros. Felix did everything to make sure our stay was as beautiful as possible and really made us feel like home. As we arrived super early morning he organized our transport and even let us get to our rooms early to rest a bit before having an amazing local breakfast, prepared by his wife. On sundays he took us to a local community soccer game and we could meet his friends and share a beer with them. if anyone wants to have the real Uros experience staying with Felix is the best choice. Thanks for everything, Felix!

Germany-
Everything!! This place is not only a place to stay but rather a whole experience! Felix and his family were so warm and welcoming, our little cabin was so cozy and you can see how much thought went into all the details. Food was incredibly delicious and the included tour around the floating islands while learning about the community of the Uros was fascinating. Also we could rent some kayaks free of charge. Overall this was one of the highlights of our trip and I can’t recommend it enough!

Wow wow wow - you HAVE to stay here. The host Felix is one of the best humans we have ever met, so lovely, homely, welcoming and honest. Anything you need…. He is there… he wants you to have the best 24 hours ever and it really shows, giving us a personal tour, having a lovely homely dinner made by his wife and chatting in the evening. He speaks so many languages it’s impressive and all round just blew us away. Literally at the end he tried to charge us a bit less than the price and we insisted on rounding up and paying more - world class accommodation from a world class host!!!! We miss you Felix, hope to see you again

GermanyThe location of this hotel on the lake is absolutely unique, you should not miss it! Much better than a ordinary hotel in Puno. The owner Felix is very determined to support you in everything you need (also the transfers to the city at any time) and he offers delicious breakfast and dinner (including vegetarian options). You can rent canoes for free.

Czech RepublicJust would love to stay 1 or 2 night longer....
Everything really exceeded our expectations at Uros Amaru Marka Lodge. Felix is a fantastic host. He picked us up when we were returning fro an overnight trip to Amantani Island so this saved us at least one hour as we did not have to go back all the way to Puno port. He picked us up at the beginning of the Uros channel by his boat. The room was super comfortable with superb beds and a great patio for relax. Felix took us on a 3-hour ride around few Uros islands, including the restaurant, museum and other points of interest. Very late check-out was not a problem. Really fantastic experience and host. Thank you Felix & your family (incl. a dog Falco - very friendly :-))

United StatesThe bed and pillows were very comfortable. Even though it was 32 degrees F. outside when we woke up in the morning, we were toasty. Our host, Felix, was superb. He picked us up at the port and gave us an excellent tour and presentation about the history and culture of the floating islands. The food was good. The shower was hot. The views were amazing.

IrelandWe had an amazing time staying with Felix on his island on the Uros. Our room was gorgeous, with an incredible view. We were well looked after, Felix arranged transport for us from Puno and gave us a tour of the community himself. It was a great way to see the islands as opposed to a day trip and excellent value for money. An amazing experience!

CanadaFelix and his family - Milagro, Axel, and Diego provided a unique and unforgettable experience. The setting is stunning and very peaceful. Felix took us on a 3 hour tour of the Uros islands during which he taught us about the Uros culture, the flora, fauna, and fish in the area, and how the floating islands are constructed. After dinner, Milagro would give each of us a hot water bottle to warm our beds, which was greatly appreciated. When we left the lodge, we were each given a lovely handicraft made by Milagro.

United KingdomThis is not a 5 star place and neither it has any stars. It has only millions of stars at night to watch in a really quiet and relaxing environment. Host Carlos and Felix are great people who makes it work for you. you’re literally on the lake with nature and basic facilities… you are there to see the local life and ancestral history and strong community feel. Felix gives a tour of the community and speaks English. Nights may be cold, but you get a hot water bottle and there is heating but we didn’t need it for the night. we liked canoeing which is available at your request.

United KingdomFelix arranged a 20 soles round trip taxi and boat transfer to his island. The taxi driver scammed us on the way back and insisted we paid again and tried to charge us 30! we informed felix who informed that this wasn’t right and apologised and he said he’d speak to the driver so it shouldn’t be an idus again. It isn’t his fault at all , I’m just writing this here so people are aware DO NOT pay anything on the return trip if asked to. Overall this property is amazing and I’d highly recommend staying here!
An amazing hidden gem. Feliz and his family take such amazing care of you from the first to the last moment! The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean with a stunning balcony with bed on for watching the world go bye and the amazing sunsets. the price included a lovely breakfast and dinner and he takes you to the restaurant island for lunch. You also have free use of the kayaks and he takes you on a free tour of the local community. Overall a great property.

Amazing place to stay- we 100% would recommend it if you are visiting Puno. We wish we could have stayed longer. Felix is a perfect host and him and his family are so kind. He arranged our taxi from the bus stop to the port where he was waiting at 5:30am. Our room was ready for us when we arrived and we were able to rest before having a really tasty breakfast. Felix then took us to the restaurant on the islands for lunch and then a 2 hour tour of the community. It was so interesting and Felix is clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about life on the islands. Our room was beautiful and we were given a lovely homecooked dinner. It does get chilly but there are layers and layers of blankets and Felix gave us all hot water bottles which stayed warm all night. The day we left Felix made breakfast for us early and took us back to the mainland where a taxi was already waiting. Felix had also managed to speak to a contact at Peru Hop so that we could go straight to the bus rather than having to wait for the mini bus with everyone else. He even gave us a parting gift which was so special. Our day/night at Felix's home was our favourite during our whole time in Peru. We'd recommend it to everyone and we'll remember it forever. Thank you Felix.

NetherlandsThere was no flowing water in the room to wash our hands.
Felix goes the extra mile and then some. Arriving at 6 in the morning (or earlier) is no problem. For 20 soles you get a taxi to the port where Felix will pick you up with his boat and take you to the Islands. We got an early check in so we could sleep a little before breakfast. Did I already say the breakfast is amazing? The second day we also got breakfast. In the afternoon we got a free lesson about the lives on the island and how everything works. What an incredible community. Checkout is whenever you need to leave for a bus and Felix takes you to the mainland when you need to go, doesn't matter if this is 6 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon. All by all this was an amazing experience, highly recommend.
