“The location had amazing views - what else could you ask for being situated in the middle of Lake Titicaca. Vidal and his family were lovely and friendly. The rooms was exactly as the photo depicted. Our favorite spot would be the lounge area by the lake where you can just sit the whole day. The bathroom is also very comfortable - their toilet is flushable and they have a water heater. Lots of blankets are provided to keep you warm during the night. The food they served though simple was actually one of the best we had in Peru, and that's after dining at Lima and Cusco.”
“Absolutely beautiful views from the room and the common areas - so peaceful and serene, exactly what we needed! You can spot some nice wildlife here too. Vidal and his family are lovely and so kind! They made a delicious dinner for us on the first night for a very reasonable price. We did the 2 hour boat trip with Vidal and it was so great! You go on the boat around the town and stop off at one of the Islands to speak to the families that live there and see their way of life. Highly recommend :) make sure you go for a dip in Lake Titicaca too! It's nice to swim outside the accommodation :)”
“The location of this hotel on the lake is absolutely unique, you should not miss it! Much better than a ordinary hotel in Puno. The owner Felix is very determined to support you in everything you need (also the transfers to the city at any time) and he offers delicious breakfast and dinner (including vegetarian options). You can rent canoes for free.”
“Amazing hotel in the Uros floating islands, caters to all needs as long as you understand it’s a type of a home stay and there are limitations- you’ll get dinner and breakfast on the island, you can buy drinks there but it’s hard to leave and go elsewhere. The host is friendly and helpful, great communication and very peaceful surroundings.”
“Felix and his family are the best. We felt totally welcomed and they created a lovely home for us for two nights. We didnt have to care about anything as Felix organized all for us, and his kind family happily supported. You wont miss anything: Good fresh breakfast, selfmade dinner and even a warm bottle of water to heat up your bed in cold nights. As we were a bit sick we had to rest, but Felix and his family never stopped worrying about us getting better soon. We also got a tour through the community of the Uros and Felix explained the different Islands and how the people live with the nature of the lake titicaca. My favorite was definetely the soccer pitch which includes short swimming breakes when the ball ends up in the water :D
It was a special stay with maybe the best hosts on our trip that openly showed us ther home and way of life. We learned a lot about the Uros' example of living with the nature and not against it. We will take a few lessons with us to connect our daily live with nature again. This was really inspiring.”
