The restaurant food was a little disappointing, but it’s close enough to walk to some great restaurants.

The location, while still fairly close to the city, was still not the most ideal. Everything was a taxi/trike ride away -- which were not expensive (USD 2-4 for trike and USD 7 for taxi), but it made it inconvenience to go to restaurants or massage places.

Room and bathroom were great -- big sizes, everything works. The pool is simple, but very nice and with a pool bar! Breakfast was not very good... very little options, so we only took it once, and for the rest went somewhere else for breakfast (brunch). The staff are very, very nice though. Super friendly and helpful and accommodating.

food was not great, especially breakfast and virtually nothing for vegans. Pool area needs lots of repairing. also couldn't pay bill by credit card - it was way too small amount as I had no cash left instead had to go to the airport take out cash (had to take out way more than needed), then got bussed back to the hotel to pay the bill...honestly for the amount to pay it would've been cheaper too cancel it rather than a round trip on the hotel bus...and then peed me off too. moral - make sure you have some cash left if you have a bill to pay.

All four pillows were too high and firm and slept on the scatter cushion instead. Suggest getting a mixture for different likes.

It might be good to have part of the pool with shade during the middle of the day. At night it was a little loud with the music, but not enough to disturb our sleep.

This place is close to the airport, in fact walking distance. It was a fun place to stay, they have some great events on, and the staff were extremely friendly. The pool was lovely and clean. Next to it was a great range of cafes and restaurants which was important given that most of the city is much more local rather than catering to tourists. There was an incredible cafe with more coffee options than some of the best cafes in Australia on the Board walk a short tricycle ride from the hotel. We have fun and a great start to the next phase of our trip with island hopping

Bit of noise from elevator bell as each time the elevator was used, for example at 4am in the morning we heard this bell, as we were in room 204. Maybe from 10pm - 7pm this bell could be turned off?

There could have been a van already sent to the airport to receive guests like the other hotels in the area. We did book our dates well in advance.

The bfast had many choices to satisfy your taste. The rooms were spacious and great toilet and shower. The location is very close to the airport and only minutes away from many restaurants and a mall. The pool facilities is super clean 👌

There was no mirror in front of the wash basin, which was very inconvenient , probably missed by the room decorators as they had lot of other unique decors. No soap bar. Not near city center or beaches. But the tricycles are available readily.

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. They provided transportation to and from the airport, which is very close. It was quiet surroundings. Arranged laundry and also sight seeing tour bookings. Lot of electrical outlets in the room separate spacious bathroom and toilet. Bed was comfortable.

Prior to booking, I asked the Hotel if their swimming pool was in operation. I did so only because bookings.com had a page advising that the pool was undergoing renovations. Canvas responded advising that the information was incorrect and was still open to all guests. I proceeded with my booking accordingly and checked in as scheduled. After providing my credit card details, the lady at the reception advised that the pool was undergoing renovations and therefore was not available to guests!! This left a very bad taste especially after the Hotel confirmed the pool was operational. Couldn't they have advised me and other guests prior to our arrival? So for me, I didn't get my money's worth and was disappointed that Canvas didn't make any effort to let me know in advance, or have deliberately been deceitful.

The pool was not inviting for a swim. I suggest they should clean it every morning. And have the jets or bubbles switched on, if it has.

The service was top notch and we had a well-appointed room! Food was also delicious. They were also helpful with our Underground River trip and our transfer to El Nido.
