Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South KoreaThe Lazy Dog in Boracay is a true gem! Perfectly located steps away from the beach, it's a haven for kite surfing enthusiasts. The food is incredible, bursting with fresh flavors, and it's wonderful to find a place that welcomes furry friends. What truly stands out is the exceptional service—staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Whether you seek relaxation or adventure, The Lazy Dog is the ideal choice. Can't wait to return!

PhilippinesThe curtains. You can slightly see the inside of the room if the lights are all open. Wifi is not good also in second floor.
I REALLY LOVE THE BREAKFAST. The beef tapa is superb! The Vietnamese coffee is a must try!! Not near the white beach and can be creepy at night especially if you’re solo as there’s no lights going to Bulabog beach. But overall i enjoyed staying here and make sure to try their breakfast!!!

PhilippinesThe wifi signal was not functioning well specially when inside the room or even at the balcony. I had to go to the restaurant area to get a signal. Even the cable TV was also not working on my first day. Bottom line was that I spent so much on my data.
The place was quiet and peaceful.

PhilippinesWiFi didn’t reach our room (108) and we had to go to the common area/lobby to access internet services. Mild buildup of mold/rust on the ceiling by the air condition.
Prompt and fast service all around from check-in, breakfast service, room service, to check-out. Lovely dogs, especially Chili! Walking distance to many amenities and always exciting to adventure around this safe and quiet area of the island right by Bulabog Beach.

MyanmarI came earlier than check in in time. Although my room was already available, they said they would charge 100 pesos per hour until 1pm. So I just waited. I wish they wouldn't charge anymore :)
Lazy Dog has a quiet and accessible location in Boracay. If you want to be away from the noisy party crowd of Boracay, then it's the best place to stay in. It's near the beach front so anytime you feel like walking along the beach, you can just step out. I love the laid back and charming ambiance of the place. It's got a homey feel. The breakfast is super and the staff is very warm and accommodating.

United Kingdom| can't really fault it, my experience was 10 out of 10.
Well there are many things to like at Lazy Dog. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the outdoor areas are very nice to just sit and read or enjoy some food. The food is incredible with a lot of variety and the staff is one of the best I encountered whilst travelling. It was also nice to not be in the middle of the crazyness yet a very short walk away.

New ZealandMy bed wasn't very comfortable - it felt quite lumpy like some of the springs had come loose.
The BREAKFAST. This is a quality cafe with a peaceful hotel attached - the breakfasts were amazing. Fantastic location, a short walk to d'mall and the beach yet far away enough to not hear road noise. Great relaxing vibe around the hotel grounds and the staff were really friendly, even lending us their bus cards so we wouldn't have to buy our own.

United KingdomThe aircon unit in the room 205 was old and not a usual aircon system which was noisy. Also drains smelt in the bathroom. The shower heads need a better holder because you can’t shower properly without getting sprayed in the face.
Great place to stay for kitesurfing. The location is perfect it’s just off the beach and walking distance to everything. There is some great food in their restaurant and a short walk away. The rooms were clean and any issues were addressed and tended too. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back.

United KingdomNone, thanks!
Lazy dog was recommended by a Filipino friend of mine and this place was excellent and exceeded my expectations. The staff was super courteous and helped with tours, laundry and recommendations. The breakfast was included in the price and it was delicious! The location is excellent. Boracay is a small island and one can walk everywhere. I also met the "lazy dog" which was slightly overweight.
