The room needs a little bit of lights, curtains too overuse and everything is looking a little out dated. Lift is a little out dated even the numbers shaking when you press (well one particular lift). It needs a revamp, I wasn’t expecting shangrila to be in this state like before.I was expecting it to be a bit more than what I expected. So many staff, but sometimes can be a bit slow in service.

Lift without any interior lighting and non functioning doorlock on assigned room . Lack of shopping facilities. All an indication that the renovation was ongoing.

Took a looooong time before we were able to check in. We checked in at 2PM for both our rooms but the second room was only given at around 6PM / 7PM. It was a very poor service considering what we paid for.

being flustered due to missing flights and failed computer screen ,the TV was a little hard to just watch news ,however your room attendant was easy to press and turn on . i had some room issues 1) room phone to front of house , couldn't hear me ,phone was replaced promptly 2) TV was not functioning, sorted promptly 3)forgot the issue now ,but 3 staff in room at same time and very professional and again prompt =)) An issue that i tried to explain to my room professional was the TOILET PAN ,and the Liquid water levels in the pan ,and it is hard to explain, but as a Plumber it was very important to me ,professionally and from a guests comfort , a) when wiping your backside with the toilet paper the paper was sometimes wet due to high water level ,so extra care was essential . b) When sitting on Pan Seat my testicles would be touching the high water in the Pan ,something unexpected and not easy to explain to the various staff that i informed =)).

the ambience was good and i spent too much time , in my room due to issues with my I -Pad and travel delays. so will need to return for a proper rest and holiday ,I ,was recommended by a former Employee of mine who now lives in Perth ,Australia . Prior to this I would use Hilton as they have the Hilton Honors membership. So next time with more planning i will view different aspects for rest breaks , I am planning to travel to Bali 6th March 24 -10days !! and normally stay at the Bali Niksoma Boutique Resort in Legian . Then 28/29thth travelling to Penang for about 10 days nothing planned nor booked ,as yet for either travel/accommodation .

We requested a quiet room for meditation purposes. However, there was renovation construction (hammering, sanding) audible in our room. Reception moved us once at my request, but the second room also had construction noise during the day. It seems the front desk was unaware of which rooms are affected by construction noise.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean.

on arrival to our room we were overcome with unbearable chemical fumes (either wood varnish or lacquer). It was verified that they were doing renovations. we were on the 20th floor initially, the whole floor reeked of chemicals, we arranged to relocate and were put on the 27th floor, this was nice, but my 9am the next day the fumes had reached this part of the hotel as well. we tried to tolerate them but both ended up with migraine headaches and despite paying for a 6pm checkout we were forced to leave early.. was very very disappointing..

I was woken up twice my housekeeping, I was working nights over there. I understand maybe being called once but not twice. I couldn't sleep both times after the calls. I marked do not disturb on the door for a reason...

One of the waitress told me that I'm not allowed sitting on the chair of piano which I really got offended. And that waitress was unhappy everytime she see me.

The property is ok, but they are billing me more than what the booking.com have listed price. The duty manager asked me to complain to BOOKING.COM
