Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaI thought the buffet breakfast was average. Too many Korean and other international offerings with very little Filipino breakfast favourites. I don’t think there’s a need to cater to the common demographic visiting the property, instead showcase Filipino cuisine.
Two bedroom family suite is very nice, spacious with modern fittings. Comfortable beds and huge fluffy pillows. Pool and lounge area is pleasant, plenty of space to wind down and relax. Had a one hour massage with my husband at the spa which was quite good. There is free chocolate down at the lobby in the afternoon which my daughter loved. Staff are incredible, they are so kind and hospitable. They made the experience really good from check in to check out.

AustraliaThe fact that no one told us that the Ibiza beach club was non existent when booking online. This should have brought the cost down as there was a lot of construction happening around and would have been nice to be informed of this prior to arrival.
I would probably add smoothie bowls as a healthy other option for breakfast. I would advise people that there is construction going on when booking too. Breakfast should have been offered complimentary due to this. Overall was happy and loved the islands and town!

PhilippinesThe beach. I dont know why but the water was not very clear. But if you walk in either direction for a few meters outside their beach front, the water is very clear. Also some parts of the sand were a bit mushy.

NetherlandsGive this place a skip. We have stayed at other Movenpicks and Accor group locations but this place really was terrible. If you want to stay in cebu, stay at the shangri la next door. The location is between multiple derelict lots. The hotels towers look like it's about to become derelict itself. The facilities are outdated, the beach is tiny and the food is mundane and repetitive. And then the proce is much higher than several other properties including boracay. We tried to bring up this this lack of value for money with accor group and it seems they have given up on the place since we haven't even gotten the decency of a reply. Hence, skip it.
The staff really did try to make up for the terrible value for money, but for us it was too little too late.

United KingdomThere is nothing we could think of that we could possibly dislike about the Property. It is airy, with Natural Lights flooding in the building everyday, and the scenery is Beautiful.
We were delighted with our stay at the Hotel. The Location is ok, the Facilities are good, and we were particularly liked having access to the Swimming Pool and the Private Beach

JapanThe territory and the beach area were comfortable but quite small for us. If you consider this hotel as boutique it can be fine. Also the beach is located in the harbor, sometimes it is noisy from the nearby boats.
The hotel service was excellent. All staff were always smiling and helping. Front manager Jerry was perfect, resolving all issues and making you love the hotel. Lestor made our days staring from the breakfast. Food was great, so we eat too much. We took 2 bedroom family room and it was very comfortable and just renovated.

Hong KongBeach club is currently a construction site, despite it being shown in the pictures and mentioned in the first line of the description. Noise from construction work wasn’t exactly relaxing. It also meant that there were no particularly nice areas to relax and have a drink in the evening and zero atmosphere. Food was average in the restaurants that were open and the range was limited. Upkeep on certain areas was poor (eg bathrooms near pool are rusting and have zero working locks on toilets or showers). Bathroom in room has no extractor fan or windows meaning the room feels damp even with the aircon on permanently. There is nothing near the hotel so don’t expect to walk down the road and find nice bars/restaurants. Most excursions are a 3h drive away. Other 5 star hotels in the area offer significantly better experiences and facilities.
Staff were friendly, breakfast was good and room was a good size. Pool area and beach are nice enough.

Australiathe weather, unfortunately we couldn't control that. very windy. The hotel was also very quiet. Not many guests or other kids for our own kids to play with or us to socialise with. would be great if you travelled with other families as had place to yourself but we would have liked some more guests there.
We loved the apartment, the buffet breakfast was outstanding. so much variety and very tasty as well as beautifully presented. The staff were all incredible. Friendliest people on the planet. The gym was also incredible, treadmills and equipment was excellent. The beach front was also lovely.

NetherlandsSuggestion: It would be great if the bread will be served first thing first after the guests are assigned to their table. This will be surely appreciated by the guests specially if the kitchen is busy.
