Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomDidn't like the fact we couldn't charge things to our room so we had to carry our wallets around with us. The bar & restaurant wanted you to pay there and then rather than putting it on your room and paying on check out.
The location was great opposite a huge shopping mall. The room was large, spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was the highlight, a huge selection of foods! The pool and pool bar were nice, happy hour cocktails were good. Staff were very polite and helpful.

TaiwanThe booking process having to transfer $ into a bank account to hold our room and at first seemed like a scam, we had already given the 3rd party and hotel our credit card details. There has to be an easier way. The towels we were given have seen more bums than Boy George. Definitely could do with some new linen.
Location to the shopping mall.

AustraliaWe had 3 bedrooms for family of 6. My daughters had to transfer other rooms due to the smell of dampness of each room provided for them, they managed to get one almost 1-2am. On the other hand I had to get the attention of the cleaner to advise their manager to get rid of those towels which no longer white in color and edges of the towels were worn out, the cleaner responded its because of too much washing. Told her never serve them anyway, you can almost use it for cleaning. From that time on, we had good towels. Thank you.
Location and staff were friendly and accommodating. Decided to have breakfast and it didn’t disappoint us. So much choices which we love.

PhilippinesI called twice to ask for a plate, fork and knife since it was my birthday.
Just have to cross the street and there's the Ayala Mall, but be careful since traffic on your left is moving from the overpass.

CanadaI invited some friends for dinner at the ground floor restaurant only to find out that the table I reserved was given to other guests. When I asked why this was so, one said the table I reserved was still available while another told me the occupied table was indeed occupied. Actually when I made the reservation I clarified the table number; so I was certain that it was occupied at that time. Making matters worse I chose another table upon their frantic suggestion where the cushion made the hands of my guests’ black (from the cushion on the sectional). At least there should have been an apology. Even better someone should have told those occupying the table I reserved to move (when I found out my reserved table was occupied, they just got there) Instead, servers were constantly switched on me the last one had no name plate. My suggestion: 1) Put a “Reserved “ sign on the reserved tables. 2) Keep good records of reservations. 3) Execute those daily reservations 4) CLEAN the sectional (it’s really dirty) It is a rarity for me to write a negative review. My intent is to contribute more than anything else; it would be a crying shame for a singular incident to almost tarnish a guest’s pleasant hotel experience. I will be going back to Quest but probably wary of entering the ground floor restaurant.
House keeping stood out. Overall, staff were friendly and helpful; elevator accessibility impressive. Food, in variety and taste was at par with hotels of the same category. Maintenance was prompt.

AustraliaBreakfast buffet has a good range of food and the quality is OK. But the dishes, especially the cups for coffee/tea, are stained or dirty. It's not horrible and I've seen worst but they could really pay more attention to clean them properly.
They were able to accommodate 2 rooms that are next to each other as we are family of 4. The location was fantastic because it was just a 5min walk to Ayala Mall which has plenty of shops and restaurants. Close to major sightseeing places in Cebu city as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. And rooms were pretty clean too.

United KingdomThe Cebu City traffic seems to be gridlocked throughout the day and evening so it took a good hour to get to the hotel from the airport, but this is true of all the hotels in this area of which there are many. Our room was close to the ground floor and although it had good thick glazing the traffic noise through the night was background but constant, often with incredibly noisy motorbikes roaring around at all hours. I tried the buffet breakfast once and although the choices of dishes were very wide I found the quality was poor - the coffee was thin and horrid, the fruit juice watery and cheap and much of the food looked unappealing to me. Also the vast room was very busy and bustling and the service was patchy (although the waiting staff did their best). So on the other days we went to the shopping mall for breakfast. The wifi signal was a little weak in places around the hotel and dropped out at times.
I liked the hotel which was large and modern and well-kept. It has a nice spacious lobby and plenty of lifts accessing the many floors. Our room was a very good size and was bright and comfortable if a bit colourless and plain and the bathroom was a little small. The hotel is just over the road from the city's biggest and newest shopping mall which is full of good cafes and restaurants, although oddly it doesn't open until 10am. The consierge staff were very smiley and helpful and they offered some reasonably priced outings. The taxis calling by are also frequent and cheap (so it's not worth booking them on line).

NetherlandsThe hotel is a little outdated even though the lobby seems quite fancy. The halls to the hotelrooms were very stuffy and our bathroom was old. Toilet made weird noises and did not work properly. Breakfast was mediocre, a lot of options but basic. We had just booked for one night, so for us it was OK but not sure if we would have stayed more nights.
The bed was very comfortable and we had a view of the city.

United KingdomThe hotel got us a taxi to leave for the port, a 10 minute journey, where we got ripped off, he tried to charge us 3,500 pesos. He drove dangerously and was aggressive when questioned about the charge, as he was driving he was saying 'I hope you are going to give me a €50 euro tip'. We ended up paying 2,500. I think the hotel should not use a taxi company that would do this.
Very comfortable beds, they arranged airport pick up at a good price of 1,000 pesos for a 30 minute journey. The concierge Clyde and Karl were helpful and excellent in giving advice.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the Ayala Center, ideal if you are just stopping over for a few nights. The staff is ready to assist you with anything and they have a good concierge service to help you find a taxi. Breakfast also very rich and good, worth the slightly high price.
