Loved the private side pool and bar , plus the roof top bar with the jacuzzi at sunset, stunning. All the staff incredibly warm and helpful. Wish I stayed longer.

The rooms were clean but more basic than the funny lion in el nido. However this did not change the positive view I had of the hotel, more than happy to stay here again.

My stay at The Funny Lion in Coron was absolutely delightful from start to finish. A few days before we arrived the crew messaged me on WhatsApp to confirm our arrival and also checked to see if we needed assistance with transportation from the airport, which clearly we did. From the moment we checked in, the cleanliness of the hotel was evident, making us feel comfortable and well cared for. We were pleasantly surprised to receive charming little gifts upon arriving in our room, a thoughtful touch that added to our experience. The daily refilled refreshments were a wonderful bonus, ensuring we were always hydrated and happy. What truly set The Funny Lion apart, however, was the incredible staff. Their hospitality was exceptional—always greeting us with a smile, eager to assist with anything we needed. The team's courteousness, kindness, and professionalism made our stay not just enjoyable, but truly memorable. It’s rare to encounter such consistent warmth and helpfulness. I highly recommend The Funny Lion to anyone visiting Coron for a heartwarming and relaxing experience.

It wasn’t walking distance to the city centre, but you can take a tuk tuk and it only takes about 5 mins to get there. Just be aware that after 11pm it’s harder to find one leaving the hotel.

The property was really nice and clean. The staff is some of the best I’ve ever seen! The sunset views from the roof top was breath taking!

It was not an issue for us but the hotel is a short tricycle ride from the town/port. However, reception can always sort a cheap tricycle for you and you are close enough to town that the dive centres (well Reggae Dive Centre) still pick you up for no extra charge. We felt it was nicer being in the peaceful setting of the Funny Lion but some travelers may prefer to be more in the thick of it.

The Funny Lion has an excellent rating and for good reason. This is one of the most special places we have ever stayed. The staff were so friendly and helpful but without being overbearing. The facilities are beautiful and clean and never overcrowded due to several different pool options and there is an amazing roof top car/pools for sunset. They really go above and beyond, leaving fresh juices in the room and a night time sweet treat! We would 100% stay again and recommend you book early to avoid disappointment because this is where you want to stay in Coron!!

Air conditioning was pretty loud

The staff was super friendly and they helped in every case. BBQ night with live music on saturdays was delicious. The rooftop bar is just awesome! Perfect place to watch sunsets.

We stayed in the Mara room, which had a pool access from our terrace. The room was beautiful and very spacious. The service in the hotel is excellent, with great attention to detail. Staff is attentive and very polite. We loved the dining options as well as the entertainment. Just a short ride from the town centre and the port.

A small boutique style hotel with exceptional staff and attention to detail. Complimentary cookies, drinks, bags etc are a nice touch. Happy Hour on the rooftop is the best place to be at the end of the day. Followed by a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The staff here are impeccably trained and go out of their way to accommodate you and make you feel like you are staying with family.

Wouldn't change a thing about this place.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay in The Funny Lion. The rooms were exceptional & they little touches they had every day were a special treat (like the cookies they left us after a full-day trip to the islands!). The pools are great and the buffet is well stocked. We loved the rooftop bar - we had sunset drinks here each night. We had a massage which was also very good.

Nothing! This was a superb hotel. Two practical bits of advice for the hotel and other travellers: 1) there are two pools, but one is kind of hidden. It would have been good to be told about this (we found it anyway) 2) they offer safe to drink water, I would advertise this more

Impeccable customer service and wonderful staff who made an effort to know who their guests were. The little extras like drinks and fruit upon arrival, juice each day in the fridge and cookies at night were lovely. It was a beautiful property with fantastic amenities including two serene pools and a roof top deck with a bar, two hot tubs and stunning sunsets.

It was a beautiful property. The pools were lovely, refreshing and beautifully shaded. The upstairs area with the spa’s was magical for the afternoon. We had dinner up there every night while the kids played in the spa and watched the sunset.
