Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkJust to warn ahead and this is not really the hotel’s “fault”. Since there is no air conditioning, the island can be very warm at night to fall asleep for modern people who are used to cool weather. Electricity at night is very unstable. It can get suddenly cut off and start again, which means the fans at your room will be on and off at midnight - you will be awakened by this noise. In terms of food, breakfast is free, you need to pay for lunch and dinner. Dinner is buffet like, it’s nice, I like it! But lunch is not so good, and you don’t really have other choices
The island experience itself is awesome and surely very different from other hotels. The view is breathtaking and there is a beautiful boat wreck nearby. The staff are really friendly and heartwarming. They also organize activities such as village tour. Facilities are basic but clean. We really enjoyed our time here.

Authentic, quite and eco-friendly (design, installations) and the good vibes staff. The views are amazing. The free activities are very valuable, local (village) and original (pig out). The staff is really warm, sympathic and positive. The room was incredible and the best where I was.

Can’t recommend the Isla experience enough. The island is absolutely stunning and waking up to that view doesn’t get old. We thoroughly enjoyed the back to basics living and gave us a chance to properly relax and unwind. The staff are SO friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. 1000/10 stay.

United KingdomWe had a hut close to the common area which was loud early in the morning and late at night which made it difficult to get a decent sleep.
The location was perfect and there was lots to do. Food put on by the chefs was nice and reasonably priced.

SingaporeEveryone was so friendly and the accommodation was lovely, the huts were very clean. There was a great group of backpackers and everyone was super friendly - there was karaoke most nights with staff participating and starting it. Isla put on a boat trip for us to go and do some snorkelling and explore local area which was really fun.

United KingdomThe fact we had to leave!!!
One heck of an experience! The team are fantastic and will always have something planned for you if you want to do something other than relax. A perfect remote place to recharge your batteries and the food in the evening cooked by the island chef was superb! Kudos to all who help make this experience possible - can’t recommend this enough if you’re looking for something different in El Nido. Big shout out to whoever is in charge of communications too, transfers and pick ups very very well organised.

United KingdomFood portions could be bigger during lunch but it was very tasty.
Great experience overall. The huts are beautiful and with an incredible view and the beach is great. It is a bit rocky in some areas but they provide free shoes for safety and also a free kayak. The vibe is very relaxed, most people were young-ish couples and we got to know each other during dinner which is shared in a common table. Loved the bonfire at night with live music with guitar.

SpainUnfortunately we had the house that was closest to the generator. Very loud all night and also at moments during the day. I missed a table of some sort to put things on. There is one small shelving unit but not enough for us three. There were only two chairs in a 4 person accommodation of which one I had to use as a table. The snorkeling gear is all defective. We did not have our own so a bit of a problem.
Absolutely stunning island on the east coast of El Nido. Very far from everything but still pretty easy to get to. Last little bit on a boat. Reception with a welcome drink. Accommodation was ready for us so could move straight in. Beautiful island/beach style individual palm leaf houses on stilts. We had a large one. 2 singles and one double. Comfortable space. Beautiful view. Fabulous staff. We were looked after very well. Allot of activities. Also in the evening. There was a full moon party. Camp fire every evening. Karaoke. The snorkeling by the ship wreck was very beautiful. But go early because at around 11 or so tour boats start to show up and the water becomes less clear. The village people are lovely. You can visit any time. The children love to interact.

PhilippinesI know that this is an Isla experience, however i did not like that the toilet is too far. Sometimes there will be no water and the toilet was really a mess, the electricity will turn off at a certain time. However, this is already given and was oriented to us prior. Nonetheless, our stay still the best experience.
I like everything about the Isla. It was our best decision to stay here for few days. We spent 11 days in Palawan and the isla experience has been our favorite and the highlight of our trip. If you really want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Elnido, this is the best place to stay and relax. We spent our New year here, and it was the best decision as well. All the staff are very accomodating and entertaining, (shout out to Hennel). They made sure that the night is full of entertainment(dancing and karaoke) during the new year’s eve and surprisingly, the served us LECHON.wow! What a great memory we had!

United KingdomBeware that you pay the bill at the end of your stay and it is cash only, no atm on the island. Bill was a lot more than expected
Really enjoyed our experience at the Isla. We stayed for two nights on Christmas Eve, the vibes were brilliant and it felt so Christmasy even though we was on an island in the middle of the ocean! On Christmas Day we went to the local village to give them presents provided by the isla which was so sweet and such an eye opener. Was a great experience thank you!

GermanyWe have had an amazing stay at the Isla over Christmas. The whole crew just wants you to make feel as part of a big family - and wow - they succeeded. Throughout the day there are plenty of activities to do ranging from pigs feeding, volleyball, beach workouts, snorkeling to Yoga. The rooms have an fantastic view and everything was in a very close walking distance. If you’re looking for an amazing time including perfect island vibe and just want to forget the world around you this is your place to stay.
