Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandNeed relaxing coverage to relax on the beach when raining.
Isla was great! During rainy season, the pictures dont exactly fit the reality of the experience with construction and lack of coverage on the beach. However, the place was phenomenal and I recommend.

AustraliaFirstly I am thankful that I have chosen this accomodation especially my first time at EL NIDO and on my birthday trip. The staff were very accomodating and helpful and see to it that our needs are met. Evelyn did an amazing job helping me out with our transportation and island hoping , she always see to it that we are safe and that we are comfortable and everything is organised. Thank you. Also the whole staff in the island are very amazing and very kind and funny ; to two kuya's who transported us from the island to main land, to Eloisa and ate who cooked our food and help with our needs , Mic whose jack of all trades , who never ran out of stories, entertainer, tourist guide and a cool mate. And the rest just simply amazing and helpful. Thank you guys!! And lastly, if you want to experienced what it's like to live in a simple island with simple life and beautiful locals this place is a must to visit. I can't wait to be back again someday!!

United KingdomSuggest some signs to go up to warn guests of the potential dangerous fish in this part of the ocean. The owner messaged messaged to say he has already contacted local divers to find out any info which they can post it.... another example of how amazing the staff are!
The island really is paradise! The most beautiful views and gorgeous white sand which you can enjoy all day- we did not want to leave! Unfortunately my partner was stung by a stone fish on the first day (BEWARE). He was in agony but the staff were amazing and quick to respond. They got us back on the boat and drove us to the hospital on El Nido, waited for us, took us to a different accomodation which we had to book as it was late in the evening, and then picked us up again in the morning to take us back to paradise. They continued to be really helpful and friendly for the remainder of our trip!

United Arab EmiratesIsla 🏝 was one of our best experiences in Phillipines!! Everything is organized to make the guests feel comfortable and enjoy the moment of being far from busy life on a small island. That's the place to relax🏖️... walking on the beach where there's nobody but you, reading in hammock, having a massage, watching shooting stars. That's the place to have a lot of fun meeting new people, hiking🌅 to see the sunset, snorkeling, playing games, having tours and much more. Want to thank our hosts Yannick and Konni for the hospitality and their attention!!! I'm sure without them our stay wouldn't be so pleasant☺️ Isla is remote place but very thought out. Tasty food, clean facilities, comfortable. Very nice bar 🍸🍹🍷🍻

United KingdomThe nature of the experience meant there was no electric and air con so very hot but owners are working on improving this.
A completely unique and different experience like you’re on a desert island. The hosts are amazing and so helpful and the locals cook the most amazing food and are so friendly. Like nothing we have experienced before, definitely recommend for a short stay!

United StatesRooms too small. The lack of activities and food. I think this has to do with covid so this perhaps may change.
Loved the view and the remote island experience!! The little nest were adorable but a but too small just enough for your bed but also worth that view! So I really enjoyed the concept! It feel like you have your own world world-renowned island.. if you want to stay longer than 2 days then I would hughly suggest to do the upgraded bigger version of the nests.

SpainThe generator's noise at 5 am makes it very difficult to sleep. Also, the kitchen needs to be more efficient because they took almost 45 minutes to prepare my breakfast!
The location is simply incredible! Perhaps the most beautiful island we visited in the Philippines. Super friendly staff as well.

GermanyAlmost everything was very disappointing considering the high price you pay! The total costs for the entire stay are a bad joke as you pay extra for every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner)! The whole facility appears unkempt and poorly maintained. The toilets and showers are in a dilapidated condition and are cleaned infrequently. There is only brackish water for showering and washing. Most of the solar lights on the stairs of the huts do not work. The ashtray in the smoking area is apparently only cleaned once a day and is constantly full. There are not enough deck chairs (only 4 or 6) for all guests. The available deck chairs are permanently occupied. Furthermore, the deck chairs and the cushions are dirty and don't seem to be cleaned at all. Broken items are lying around and will only be repaired after days. The seating in the lounge and dining area is not wiped down very often, so fresh clothes become very dirty in a very short time. Food orders were forgotten several times. When I asked directly in the kitchen after 45 minutes, I was told that they were already preparing the food, even though they weren't busy cooking... After a total of an hour we had our food. There are a few pigs on the property that are fed daily on the beach. This is offered to guests as a “fun” highlight. The problem, however, is that one of the pigs keeps breaking out of its stable and searching for food on its own. Sometimes it runs around the lounge area and gnaws on guests' backpacks because there might be something edible in them. I was able to observe it several times behind the kitchen as it searched the used plates in the sink for leftover food. This is pretty disgusting! Depending on how the wind blows, the entire facility smells of pig feces. This is disgusting! Almost all employees are very inattentive and constantly busy with their cell phones watching funny videos or making video calls.
The bamboo huts a beautiful and spacious with a beautiful sea view. The food tastes really good. The island is beautiful and has nice snorkeling spots. Hennel and Ely from the staff are absolute gems!

United KingdomThe only gripe I have was on my final night a tour turned up with 20 people and sort of, took over the island and treated it like a hostel. This happens occasionally apparently and I just felt it ruined the escapism of the experience for me. They were playing they’re own games with the microphone at dinner and they were singing ABBA karaoke incredibly loud until 11pm - which took away from the peaceful experience. The night before I fell asleep listening to the waves but my final night was nothing further from this. I chose this island experience to getaway from that, from the UK, from the mainland and the hostels etc which is why it was so disappointing. I think, if a tour that big wants to go to the island other guests are made aware, they do their games in another part of the island or the whole island is booked out for them. The only other thing is the kayak rental is expensive, it’s 600p for one hour. Given I’m solo, I felt this was a lot but for a couple probably not as bad!
The beach and the island was absolutely breathtaking - it was so gorgeous, the sand is white and the sea clear, Crystal blue! The staff were incredibly friendly and were always on hand to help.

United Kingdomtoilets and shower area wasn’t very clean. food was average and I had a dead bug in my food which completely put me off. loads of flies around when trying to eat landing on your food etc - would be nice if they could try to think of a solution to avoid 100s of files on your food. they said there would be entertainment in the evening either karaoke or a bonfire but had nothing all evening.

AustraliaAccess is difficult (don't book an early flight) but we were accommodated well by the staff. No toiletries supplied and four showers to share between everyone. Electricity cut out during the night rendering the fan useless. Two nights is plenty. For the price charged food and drink should be included not extra. No option to pay by card either.
Enjoyed the activities and the island location. The staff were good, volleyball, workout session and island tour all good fun and the wreck snorkel a highlight.

AustraliaTerrible value for money, $200/night for a bed with a fan and a very average shared bathroom. Food should be included for that price, expect to pay another 2000peso/day for average food/activities and then transport back to el nido etc. The location is okay, far better islands around el nido/coron. If you want an island experience, book a 3d/2n island hopping trip from el nido to coron- far superior.
Staff were very nice and accommodating, the place was clean.
