When I arrived by car in the dark (about 17:30), the hotel lights were dark. I knew I was close and stopped at a bakery to ask directions. It was just across the street (without lights). Ha! Very shortly after, the outside lights were turned on.

Everything was as advertised. Good location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable, good breakfast and parking.

It’s true that the hotel is old. The rooms smell odd (of sweat and cigarettes somehow). The street is busy with traffic even during the night and you can hear most of it from the hotel room. Also noises from other rooms are quite loud - alarm clocks, people’s conversations… my room had an interconnecting door to the room next door, which probably didn’t help either. The bed wasn’t too comfortable (probably because very old as well), but the sheets were cotton and clean. Finally - I wouldn’t dare stepping barefoot on the carpet or floor, but that’s something I rarely do anyway in hotels.

For the price and two nights it was ok. Until few years ago I was staying in hostels etc, recently I switched to more comfy (4*) accommodation so I think I can reasonably compare. The hotel is not fancy at all, but in fact there was everything one could need in the room: enough towels, clean bed, curtains, sockets, hairdryer, even bottled water and tee and coffee. The people working there were very nice.

We were given one key, and realised too late that the lights need a key to turn on. So one person had to sit in the dark while the other went to the car to get the bags.

The location was very convenient. Was good value for money for an overnight stay. Street parking was cheap and free later in the evening.

The shower drainage hole was clogged and WC bowl cover was totally broken. Air conditioner didn't worked. Breakfast table was almost empty in the middle of the breakfast time.

- room equipment not working (broken dryer, non-burning light bulbs, not even toilet brush in the toilet), very few electrical outlets in the rooms (no outlet near the bed), wifi problems (you have to pass the logging process, despite having a password, which is useless), very old-fashioned interior

There was dried vomit on the floor. Smoking smell coming from the bathroom. All the furniture had scratches from a dog.

They allowed us to bring bicycles to the room. Free tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was quite good.

To begin with I was given a room, which stank cigarettes. It stank so badly that I got a headache within the first hour. It was in the 6th floor. In the hotel there is only 1 lift. I waited 15 minutes for the lift, as it is mainly used by cleaning-staff and their oversized trolleys with cleaning staff and bed sheets. Finally I took the stairs. So did other people. Everybody was complaining.

The reception people were very polite even though the hotel was a nightmare.

I was woken up in the middle on the night and very rudely accused of smoking. This was later on explained as smoke detector malfunction.
