How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bathroom is outside of the room and the bed wasn't to confy .
The hostel is close to the shops, restaurants and bus station . It was very easy to get to the old town, to museums , etc The breakfast was satisfying .

Would have been nice to have some way of making a drink in the room
The hotel was in a nice neighbourhood and in a good location for where we needed to be. Room was OK. Breakfast was very good. It suited us fine.

Breakfast was very good. Everything was fresh and good taste. It was not a buffet, the breakfast is served personally, which i liked. The woman who served the breakfast made great waffles.

Its not that I do not like, just a suggestion. It would be perfect if you had 24h reception, just in case of any emergency or something.
Excellent value for money, everything is clean and comfortable. Delicious and fresh breakfast. Location is the strongest point, really close to one of the main streets.

Facilities are a bit outdated, it would be nice to have some shelf to put things on inside the shower.
Great location, it has everything you need including fridge and kettle. The beds are very comfortable. We come back here for the second time and will book it again while being in Warszawa for our next trip.

I have nothing to complain.
Breakfast with tea, coffee, bread, tomatoes, cheese and warm sausages was good enough and tasty. The location was very good. Room on the 5th floor was silent.

Loud guests of the hostel - but what can you do?
Really good accomodation for the money. It's situated in the center, the room was clean and nice. The breakfast was good. Worth every penny. Ideal for students.

Was big school trip at the same time, so we had to wait for the breakfast in the morning (as dinning area was packed), and was bit noisy...but this is hostel, so its expected to be more 'lively' place than hotels :)
Close location to train station which is on one of the main lines. Hostel next to very buys road for tourists - lots of shops, places to east, pubs to drink. Staff helpful, and big breakfast in the morning

The bathroom is not private, there are two of them, for common use in the corridor. There are two of them. They looked clean, but smelled of pee unfortunately.
Superb central location. Okay to stay with the pet. Comfy bed. Okay to stay one night for a quick stopover and not to spend time in the hostel, but venture outside instead.

The charged price in EUR at arrival was 10% higher than at the time of booking and even a few days before. This can hardly be explained by currency fluctuation.
Spacious room with modern bathroom. The hostel is in a quiet, but central location. Room had TV and heating, fridge in the kitchen can be used. Receptionists are helpful.

The breakfast doesn't sell dreams but the waffle was nice.
The hostel is close to a main street with a lot of restaurants, bars and shops but all the noises are not heared from the rooms which is great. A bus stop is very nearby to go the historical center or to the train station and the bus are frequent.

Towels were free but you had to ask for them at the reception. The hostel didn't have a city map. There's only a small sign at the building where the hostel is located, you have to search really well for it. A bigger sign would be helpful.
The hostel is not far from the city center and there are also restaurants and shops near the hostel. It was nice that they had their own parking space (although you have to pay extra to use it). There is a shared kitchen. The hostel is on the first floor, there is a small elevator. The twin room was fine, the bathroom clean.

OK for the price
There is good kitchen with fridge, kettle, MVF. Ask stuff about it. Quite good breakfast, not Sweden but strong and tasty.

Really way too basic for the amount of many we paid for an accommodation in Warsaw: no shampoo, tiny room, etc.
