Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelarusNoise - but hey what would you expect from youths?! (they held some party in the convention hall, so for a moody gramps like me it was not a real bother).
Room - very clean, it had everything you'd needed for a short stay. Location - close to a train station, close to a shopping mall, close to bus/street car stops.

UkraineIt was a bit too noisy, you could hear everything happening in the corridors very well.
I booked this hotel without much expectations, because I only needed it for one night, and I chose it because of proximity to the railway station and a moderate price, but it exceeded my expectations. The room was very spacious and clean with a nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Even though the furniture is a bit old, it was in perfect condition. The hotel lobby is nice and they allowed me to leave my luggage at storage for almost an entire day.

GeorgiaThe general atmosphere was a bit depressing, because of how lonely and isolating the whole thing felt, especially with dimmer lights in the hallways My friend and I would get down on spirit real fast despite all the comfort that the room and the beds had. The hotel feels empty often lot of the time and devoid of life, in some cases it is good peace but it also dwells when it goes on for longer.
The location was very convenient, close to everything, metro, tram, bus, pharmacies and shops and even some cafes and parks, everything is in a walkable distance.

Czech Republicwhen the cleaning works in the next room, it was a bit noisy, but otherwise it's okay.
Pleasant hotel with various room options. Easy access and parking. Nice restaurant with local food downstairs. Airy rooms, yard windows allow you to open windows for fresh air and still have night quiet. Water and coffee in the rooms, houskeeping asked if I need anything and gave me a refill.

South AfricaThe day receptionist was not friendly at all. Wall between rooms are really thin, noise becomes an issue is there someone in the room next to you. I had to ask for a kettle for tea and only got a few sachets of coffee and tea and that was it, had to get my own milk and sugar. Only got water 1st day, had to ask for some on day 4. It's really basic as it gets.
Location, central to what I needed, food stores, restaurants and the mall. WiFi works really well. Restaurant serves great food.

Czech RepublicRooms are not cleaned during the stay and they probably just change the sheets and towels, there was a lot of dust under the bed and we even found a cucumber under the window. There's a sign about towels on the ground being changed, but they weren't. Locks are loud and every sound from the outside seems amplified, our neighbors were opening their room at 2 am and we thought that someone is breaking into our room.
The male receptionist was nice and helpful. His colleague seemed grumpy, close to metro, bus and tram stops, also we went on a bank holiday, so everything was closed except for zabka which is also close by.

UkraineThe toilet in the bathroom was noisy after flushing and I kept hearing strange noises all night. Overall, the state of the room wasn't very fresh, it needed some renovation, but for the price it was ok.
The hotel is quite cheap, yet clean and works for 1 night. The personnel were very friendly and spoke English perfectly. Also the reception is open 24/7 which was very important for my travel.
