Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaEverything was great, the people, the suite, the service, the restaurant. The hotel is located right next to the Wawel Castle (so what do you need more?!)😊 We chose the Royal Suite which still has the original ceiling and three frescoes. The suite is very big (I guess 100 sqm) and you have everything you need in it. The bathroom has both bathtube and a shower. Everyday they provide water (both sparkling and still) and coffee capsules (there is an espresso coffee machine in the suite). Everyone was very careful of what you need, but we would like to especially thank Marcelina (I hope I wrote her name well) who took care of our breakfast every morning and more.

Czech RepublicTastefully, efficiently and luxuriously furnished so-called "Imperial Suite", a rooftop jacuzzi providing a magnificent view of the Wawel Castle, a Michelin-starred restaurant with excellent staff = all this adds up to a truly wonderful place to stay in beautiful Krakow.

AustraliaThe access, passing by drink crates, food trolleys etc., detracts from otherwise nice experience. Unusually there was no fruit in breakfast options.

I have booked many rooms with booking.com and never have. I had such an exceptional room at such a reasonable price. If I could give this a 20 score I would.

United KingdomThe only little niggle was the cleaner always came early evening. It would have been better if the room was attended to while we were out all day.
Lovely, large clean rooms. Excellent location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant Pod Nosem was also excellent with delicious food and great service.

United KingdomFaultless, nothing to speak negatively of!
We stayed in the rooftop suite with the private hot tub - WOW! We were absolutely blown away by the room, we had high expectations but reality was way beyond that! We felt like a king and queen! There is always a friendly face in reception when entering/leaving and nothing is too much for the staff! Special shout out to Michael the manager and the young lady (apologies I don’t remember her name) who both worked tirelessly to make sure we had everything we required. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding and the only word I can use to describe it would be a banquet! We also had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and yet again, faultless, simply beautiful food! I would recommend this place all day long! Very short walk to the main square in Kraków. If you’re thinking about it, think no more, BOOK IT!

United KingdomThe service was poor. We had our breakfast in the room on the three days we were there. We asked for our room to be serviced (we were advised that we had to ask) when we were going out for the day. We returned 4-5 hours later and the breakfast was still in the room and it had not been serviced. When I called reception, the person advised that someone would be up in an hour. Sadly our room was not serviced during our stay, even after asking. If you have breakfast in your room, be prepared to have stale food in your room when your return. Also, we stayed on room 3 which has the roof terrace. The extractor fan for the restaurant kitchen is beside the terrace and is on most of the time. The noise it not too bad but you do have to raise your voice to have a conversation. You only notice how noisy it is when it goes off periodically for 10-15 seconds.
Difficult to find a place with a better location. 1 min from the Castle, 10-15 min walk from the Main Square and the Jewish Quarter. Located on the oldest street in Krakow (so we were advised), the room we were in had a roof top terrace which looked over the castle. The room was comfortable and modern with complimentary drinks and snacks. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Czech RepublicNo information regarding anything on room (wifi, food, services etc.) Three TV's in apartment (bit excessive), but two of those with out signal. Hovering of property at 22:30 is not optimal time. No one ask as if we won't/need to clean our apartment or change the towels during our stay (3 nights)
