Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaWe got room 509 which was tiny. It was the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in all our life. Upon booking I asked for a double bed (rather than twin single beds) and indeed we got a double bed but it was small too and set against a wall so my partner had to climb and crawl in and out of bed if I was asleep. I think it was one of those 1.5 beds (140 cm wide?). It was cramped. The mattrass was super comfortable but the pillows were huge on the one hand (too much for such a small bed) and too soft on the other hand (zero neck support). The rooms are supposed to be noise proof but they are not. we could hear anyone and everyone walking outside in the hallway and even with the windows closed we could hear the traffic and noise from the square. Since we expected that (based on previous reviews) we didn't care about it. One more thing that I would have liked was a little more shelving space in the bathroom and better toiletries. Because our room was so tiny the bathroom was super small too. This meant zero space on the sink to put our stuff so we had to keep it on the desk and go back and forth for products. We only kept our toothbrushes and toothpaste on the sink. The toilet was low (not the best for people with knee issues) and so close to the sink that I hit my arm several times getting up. the toiletries are basically two squeeze dispensers - one by the sink and one in the shower - with an "all in one" liquid soap that doubles as a facial soap and shampoo. It was super basic and I found it did not perform well as a shampoo (or a facial cleanser). I had my own products with me so that was ok but if you rely on the toiletries in order to pack light - don't. The funny thing is that this hotel was a bit more expensive than others I saw that had better toiletries (based on photos and reviews). I think they can improve on that front :)
The Hotel is quite good. I chose it based on location and breakfast options because we have some dietary requirements. We stayed for 4 nights. The staff was amazing, the hotel is very clean and the facilities are all high quality. The bed was comfortable (pillows were not - see next part), the room was basic but sufficient. the shower cabin was great! good water pressure and not leaking (this was an issue we have encountered in many other hotels). Breakfast was amazing. For us with specific dietary requirements we had everything we needed and could eat and then some. The breakfast buffet was rich, fully stocked and the meal literally sustained us for the entire day until dinner. If you are a carnivore/low carb high fat/ zero carb or avoid gluten and grains for any reason - this hotel's breakfast is everything you need. they also separated the fruit/cereals/sugary stuff to another side of the room so really good for us. Everything was high quality ingredients and tasty. The location is central which is good if you need to use public transport or walk around but noisy and busy. if you come with your own car - there is no parking for the hotel so you have to rely on your luck to find a spot in the super busy square. If you book for a couple - make sure to send them an email after you book to make sure that you get a large enough room. We got a tiny 1 person room for two (they told me at the checkout that I could have written and gotten a bigger room but: 1. I did not know that in advance and 2. I booked for 2 people so they should have known...). The hotel provides bottled water which is refilled every day - that was really good! the room was airconditioned - great because we kept windows closed to minimize noise and because it was hot. Having a good air condition was super important.

Our standard double room was larger than we expected for a European hotel. There was tons of natural light coming from the windows so it was very well lit. The bathroom had a pedestal sink but there was a bench to stash your toiletries. Very clean. Adjacent to the hotel, which is in Constitution Square, is a popular Czech restaurant that also serves Polish food. Prices very reasonable. Next to that is. Georgian restaurant with great food and moderate prices There are several other cafes and restaurants nearby. There's also a tram stop and bus stop out front. It's about 15 or so minutes by tram to Old Town. And 8 min from the main train station.. If you want to stay downtown, I highly recommend the MDM.

United StatesNo complaints at all. This three star hotel should be upgraded to four star status.
The staff at MDM Hotel were superb! The front desk staff were all fluent in English and assisted us by arranging tours, suggesting restaurants, and explaining how to obtain tram tickets, The breakfast was excellent with hot and cold options and our room was spacious and very comfortable. The cost was reasonable with an excellent value for money ratio. Should I ever again have the good fortune of returning to Warsaw, I will definitely stay at the MDM Hotel.

SpainNothing, everything was excellent
Perfect Hotel in a strategic location! Everything was wonderful! The deluxe room is super comfortable, with a huge double bed, the water pressure in the shower is great and the room is also very well ventilated which is essetial and could be am issue in other hotels - the windows can be opened and the AC works perfectly fine. The hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly and always ready to assist for any special requests. The location itself is very central and sorrounded by coffee shops and restaurants. Overall i would rate this hotel 10/10, it has exceeded my expectations and i will come back here when i am in Warsaw again!

SwedenThe only small negative is the occasional sound from the tram lines. But at night they don’t run very often and it really didn’t bother us much.
Location was very good, with good access to key bus and tram routes. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was filling.
