Spacious, well appointed, clean, friendly staff. Nice kitchen and comfy beds. A historic decor which was perfect for its location. Even great coffee downstairs. Cute but small rooftop pool and bbq.

Stayed in the 2-bedroom suite and highly recommend it. The unit is massive and the photos online must be outdated because the unit was much better than expected. Could easily sleep 6, two bedrooms and a big pull out sofa bed in the living room. Full kitchen was also a great aspect. Location was close to all the nearby attractions, bars, and restaurants. Easy check in, but couldn’t check in early since someone was staying the night before. Went up to the rooftop briefly to check it out, and the bar wasn’t open, but they had a vending machine full of drinks. Great view as well, nobody else was up there when I went. Glad I booked for our group of 5 and would stay again.

another of walking ( the hills will take you out)😂 -The room had little ants in the bathroom. -Not a big breakfast selection -pool was little. Water was gloomy, but view and photo background worthy

Location was great, 3 blocks from the bar district and 3 blocks from the umbrella street. Many shopping stores close by.the food and drinks were very affordable. So glad we stayed in old San Juan. Authentic food and great people. Uber is very recommended to get back and forth to San Juan and airport. The bar in the hotel is freaking great. Nilia was our bartender man she will get you right. Lorimer was very very nice (front desk) Allys (front desk) had all the go to spot to help us out.(nightlife) again please consider uber. We paid $20-25 to go back and forth to San Juan each way, airport was the same.for 2 of our days until I downloaded uber and paid $5.99🤔🥴😯 we was so pissed we wasted all that money using a taxi. Uber saved us on our 3rd and fourth day😍

Every room has an airconditioner BUT for some stupid reason they don't leave the remote control in the rooms. You literally have to walk downstairs or catch the very slow lift downstairs to get the person at front desk to go back to your room to adjust the temperature. There's no way to adjust it by yourself or even turn it off. I arrived and it was on high at 20C. A female staff member turned it up to 22C and it was still too cold. I was freezing at night. When I checked out and said how awful this system was another female staff member said it should be always on 24C but this had been their system for a year and no one else had complained and it was to save on electricity. Well the only way for me to warm up in the middle of the night was to open the windows and let the warm air in so perhaps they should just trust people with the remote like every other hotel. There is a bar fridge in the room but no kettle or microwave and no cups or glasses (though they were happy to give me some from downstairs). The room was quite large and could have easily accomodated a small table and chairs under or near the window to write/ eat/ drink at.

David was the staff member who was there to check me in when I arrived late at night. He was wonderful. Very welcoming and friendly. The rooftop pool and lounge area was fantastic. Great views and available to go up there at whatever time you liked. I recommend having breakfast up there instead of in the foyer area downstairs. The breakfast was delicious and well worth the money. Great location to stay for a few days and explore the Old Town area.

It is very badly in need of a renovation and the potentially lovely building deserves it NOW. We knew it wasn’t perfect before we booked it but the location and the history of the hotel intrigued us. Sadly the other reviews were correct. The hotel is in very poor condition with some amateurish attempts at covering the flaws. This could be a gem if the renovation is done soon. In the meantime, it is surviving on its former glory alone.

Overall the room was nice, though there were no outlets near the head of the bed which would have been nice for charging phones. The refrigerator kept our water cold, but almost too cold, freezing our beverages at times. Our room was on the first floor, which was convenient, but also near the elevator and front so definitely could hear people coming and going. Though it was nice that after 10pm it had to be quiet.

The location was perfect for exploring old San Juan. The room was perfectly air conditioned and the beds were very comfortable. People at the front desk were very friendly.

It smelled like mold when we first came in. Also, the court yard was moldy and could be slippery. The court yard also connect to other bedrooms, so there is no privacy.

However, I didn't find comfortable that the A/C in the room couldn't be controlled. It s a hassle to have to call reception everytime you want to change the settings. Also the hotel could provide at least a welcome bottle of water. In the room, a chair would be a good addition. It can get very noisy at night and during morning time.

This is a gorgeous hotel. I loved the decor and the roof top terrace. The bathroom was spacious and nice, the cafe downstairs very pretty.

We had 2 rooms. Neither TV was connected to Direct TV. It took almost 24 hours before any staff came to see what the problem was. The ceiling fan in the second room did not work. I hope they learn not to give customers rooms without functioning equipment.

The location is perfect. The hotel is very quaint and we like that a lot. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

it was a good size 2 bedroom suite with a living room & kitchen. But only one AC in the living room was working. The back bedroom did not get the benefit of air conditioning. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk they seemed unconcerned. We asked for a fan but they said they didn’t have any. We were told we would get some money back (which never happened) instead we got a late check out & two cappuccinos. It was an expensive one night stay especially without the benefit of comfortable AC.

The location was great. It was in the heart of Old San Juan. it had a lovely rooftop & view. Our suite was large, clean & the beds were very comfortable.

I think this was temporary, but they only had 2 remotes to operate all of the rooms’ air conditioning. So, I had to ask them to come to the room to change the temp when I was too hot/cold. I wasn’t always comfortable because it felt like an inconvenience to have them come to my room.

The wifi was so slow that we didn't use it. Our T-mobile cellular was faster.

We loved the location and the rooftop area was great although it took us awhile to figure out how to turn on the lights. The pool was a nice treat.

This is a cute little hotel with a superb location. Our room was fairly basic, but the hotel served us well for a day.

The only thing was that we were unable to control the temperature in the room ourselves. if you call the front desk, someone will come up and adjust it, but who is going to do that in the middle of the night? Also, it would have been nice to have a chair in the room.

Almost everything! we loved the quaint, charming Old San Juan feel. The bathroom was modern, clean and worked well. The bed was comfortable and plenty of room. An afternoon dip in the rooftop pool was a plus!
