Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaBreakfast was not included. There is no restaurants nearby to eat. You need a taxi to go around and owner is managing this but taxi price is bit higher. Getting taxi from outside by your own is bit difficult too. The owner arranged a taxi to the Allenby bridge but it cost me 50 Shakeel which in fact shouldn’t be more than 20 as the taxi dropped me far from border. The taxi driver told me that I need another taxi to enter the 3 KM border and I have to pay again 50 more Shakeel. So it’s rip off basically.
Nice and clean room with all basic facilities.

United KingdomIt’s a little far out from the city centre, so worth bearing in mind and thinking about taxis or preparing for a 20 minute walk to get to the centre.
Guy was really generous and friendly, there was a communal atmosphere but it didn’t feel imposing. The terrace outside my room was a plus and the view was awesome.

MalawiIt was a little disconcerting that the power went off just after our arrival. It was remedied later and apparently not the fault of the establishment .Still it wouldn't stop me suggesting to others they stay there or stay there again myself.
The coffee and breakfast was wonderful!

United StatesHummmm. Don't know except I suggest you make your eye-level sign darker or more visible from the road.
This was an oasis within Jericho (which is sadly polluted with trash). I was treated like family ... so important as an older female solo traveler, and they were most helpful in getting me taxis and understanding how to get around. Very kind staff, good food (some from their garden and fresh chicken eggs!). The chickens don't like anyone, sadly!

United KingdomI only booked in for one as I didn't see the dropdown menu so at the hotel I had to pay for my partner on site. I'd say that was more a fault of Booking.com's design than the hotel
nice breakfast, and staff were great. A glorious garden full of treats - oranges straight from the tree and the hotels own date palms

SwedenThe way back to highway 1 was partly blocked with burning hinders. Felt not entirely safe to drive there.
Samir and Agnese were most lovely and really friendly and helpful. They made the hostel night feel like a stay with friends. The short hike to the monastery skipping the cable car was a highlight.

DenmarkVery nice guest house. Nice people and service - and perfect location, close to the Cable Car to the Mount of Temptation and the historic excavations. Only thing to note, which may not be obvious if booking online, is that they do not take credit card - so you have to bring cash for your stay. But overall, I can fully recommend this place /Viggo

El SalvadorThe young gentleman who checked us in did not know how much we owed (we adjusted our reservation a week earlier by whatsapp so I didn't know if they'd decrease rate or leave it the same); he awkwardly made us sit in the living area for several minutes ensuring we had coffee before offering to take us to the room. It was an attempt at hospitality with offering coffee and such, but he sat on his phone while the water boiled and didn't talk to us. Then, less than a minute after handing us the coffee started walking up the stairs to take us to the room. So, I had one sip and sat it down to finish "checking in". I didn't see him again, so he came out at 7 am as we were packing our bags into our driver's car to collect payment.
Spent one night. Nearby to sights and such. Room was satisfactory. Garden was beautiful. We did not partake in breakfast, because it wasn't offered as early as we needed to leave. Shower was hot and lovely. Good sized room, very comfortable. Wifi worked. Went to LOVELY coffee shop a block away to smoke shisha, have dinner, and a surprisingly GREAT local performance. HIghlight of my experience in Jericho.

United KingdomThe location is in a quiet location with an orange orchard in front of the house. Each room has its own terrace. The house is in walking 2 minutes walking distance of two of the main places to visit the telepheric to the monastery and the site of Ancient Jericho, and only a 6 minute drive to the wonderful Hasheem's Palace. We were given a lovely breakfast by our hosts. Our only disappointment was that our hosts had run out of the organic dates they pick from their trees. The dates in Jerusalem are meant to be the best in the world.

IndiaThe only thing is the hot water didn't work so it was cold showers all round. They did have a hot water system but for whatever reason it didn't actually heat the water. We weren't that fussed but it may be a deal breaker for some. Actually, one more thing is that the curtains didn't cover the whole window so the light was waking us up in the mornings.
The student looking after us was absolutely class. Top bloke all round. The location was very convenient and breakfast was great. We stayed in the garden room and it was lovely.
