    “We loved everything about the Lavender cottage! The Cabin looks exactly like it does in the pictures and was spacious and clean. The outdoor pool was the missing puzzle piece for making it perfect. The view was also very nice and it was extremely peaceful and quiet up there. We were worried about parking, but there's actually enough room for vehicles. I also appreciated that kitchen comes with everything you need. Even though we arrived very late, Heather was very kind and greeted us with a huge smile and she even left us a nice welcome bag with wine, water, cake, and other tasty treats. The fridge had milk and a few other things for us. Great hospitality!”

    “The property is situated in a really quiet place, we liked it. If you want night life this isn't the right place to be. It was easy to collect the key, and the information was clear. The parking space is available in the front of the building, parking fees apply from 09-17, but parking is free the rest of the day and on weekends. Free street parking is available on the other side of the building. The room was clean and equipped with a toaster, pots and pans, a kettle, a microwave, a coffee machine, and so on. The room service isn't free.”

    “Beautiful place with 3 rooms with comfortable beds and ensuite bathroom for group of 6 adults. Great that we could barbecue and take a dip in the lovely pool. Very well received by Patricia. Easily accessible and quick to give tips. Ideal place to visit western Madeira.”

    “The Villa is quite nice, the pool is heated, kitchen is well equipped, there are two washing machines and dryer which is completly enought for 6 people. The main house is big enought for 4/6 people (2 bedrooms 3 bathrooms) and a living room connected with kitchen (where someone can also sleep). The small house is quite ok, just enought for 2 people.”

    “The location is amazing - that's the whole point of booking this place. There are only 4 rooms, so the number of guests is limited. In fact when we arrived there were no other guests so we had the whole place to ourselves - not just the cottage, but the entire valley! I loved having the private outdoor space for residents only, away from the many hikers who come to the cafe. Easy access to the paths. Decent Wi-Fi connection too (star-link).”

    “First of all, the location is great. The property is in the middle of a nature reserve and all the trails start from the lodge. It gives you a chance to leave early and easily beat the crowds. The staff were all very friendly and really helpful. They were great. The rooms and communal area are tastefully decorated. Rituals soap and shampoo are begin offered. All and all, the lodge has a nice vibe. We liked the fact that the breakfast and dinner were put out for us to eat when we wanted. Each room is allocated a fridge partly for that purpose.”
