    “The Villa is quite nice, the pool is heated, kitchen is well equipped, there are two washing machines and dryer which is completly enought for 6 people. The main house is big enought for 4/6 people (2 bedrooms 3 bathrooms) and a living room connected with kitchen (where someone can also sleep). The small house is quite ok, just enought for 2 people.”

    “The location is amazing - that's the whole point of booking this place. There are only 4 rooms, so the number of guests is limited. In fact when we arrived there were no other guests so we had the whole place to ourselves - not just the cottage, but the entire valley! I loved having the private outdoor space for residents only, away from the many hikers who come to the cafe. Easy access to the paths. Decent Wi-Fi connection too (star-link).”

    “First of all, the location is great. The property is in the middle of a nature reserve and all the trails start from the lodge. It gives you a chance to leave early and easily beat the crowds. The staff were all very friendly and really helpful. They were great. The rooms and communal area are tastefully decorated. Rituals soap and shampoo are begin offered. All and all, the lodge has a nice vibe. We liked the fact that the breakfast and dinner were put out for us to eat when we wanted. Each room is allocated a fridge partly for that purpose.”

    “We found everything we needed in the apartment. It was well equipped and clean. The owner communicated with us very nicely and quickly. We had a view of the mountains. Parking was possible at the back entrance. It was a very comfortable accommodation.”

    “Rabaçal Nature Spot Cottage is all about location. It places you at the heart of A-rated levadas such as 25 Fontes and Risco, but also beautiful walks around Levada do Alecrim, Lagoa do Vento and other less overwhelmed choices. It is also possible to drive in and out along the restricted access road to visit other locations, thanks to the great collaboration from the staff, so you are not "trapped" at Rabaçal. Being able to easily walk along levadas such as 25 Fontes in the evening means you can have the place entirely to yourselves rather than share with 1'000s of others during daytime. You then return to a comfy, relaxing cottage with just 4 bedrooms and enjoy the meal the always attentive staff have prepared for you. And then chill out on the terrace with views down the Ribeira da Janela valley all the way to the sea. And very special thanks to Charles :-)”
