Cutlery and crockery are adequate, but random collections to make up numbers.

Situated directly on the beach, views from the room balcony and breakfast area are great. Breakfast is included and very adequate. Staff very friendly and, despite being an old building, very clean.

They don’t seem to have double sized bed layout but two twins. The mattress is a bit hard on my back.

Unbeatable location: right at the beach with unobstructed view from equipped balcony. The room is huge with 300 sq ft and private kitchen. Staff is friendly and always available at the reception to lend beach towel, keep the entry card and provide other helps like a heater for our March stay. Definitely worth it.

Our room had 2 single beds pushed together which was not very comfortable.

Although there are many more up market hotel options on the island, I love that this one is right on the beach, with having balconies facing the ocean. Falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves is delightful. The free breakfast is excellent, with local cheeses and tea, and excellent coffee machine with all the espresso your heart desires. There’s an unusually large parking lot for the island, where it is easy to park. Across the street are a few surprisingly good restaurants. One in particular has an excellent menu that rivals some of the well reviewed restaurants in ponta Delgada and Furnas. Although sao roque is a more simple village, walkable access to multiple beaches and restaurants. A fast drive to ponta Delgada. I recommend this hotel.

Nothing...we've liked all.

The staff was asbolutely fantastic. Allways with a smile in their faces and 100% available for what we needed and with lots of patience to our kids. Thank you. The location is amazing (its actualy IN the beach) very close to the highway and city center. The breakfast is very nice and the rooms has a very nice view and the kitchen in the room, very usefull. In the new years eve, the offered us a champagne bottle for us to enjoy at midnight...it was truly a very nice gesture. We'll be back.

The pillows were foam and lumpy. We only stayed one night, and would have asked for different ones if we had been there for longer.

The hotel is situated right on the beach. Access can be gained from the lower ground floor straight onto the sand. The room had a great view of the beach and all the activities from our balcony - mainly people learning how to surf! The room is large with a seating area, separate kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is fairly well stocked and should you need anything you can ask. It was clean and the staff were very accommodating, opening up the breakfast room very early for us as we had an early flight from Ponta Delgado. No frills, but a great place if you want a beach stay.

Nothing for recyclables in room. We witnessed staff empty all trash, including bottles and recyclables, into one bin in a public location outside the hotel, when there are clearly labelled bins for paper, plastic, glass, metal, garbage and bottles. Sao Miguel is such a beautiful island. Much more education on recycling is needed. Bed had a very thin mattress. TV was very small.

Location right on the beach is great. Fabulous views and loved the sound of the ocean at night. Parking is available and nice breakfast with view of ocean. Room was basic but really clean.

We stayed for 7 days so the breakfasts became a little boring but realize it is hard to please everyone when it comes to food. It was great not having to go out to search for food every morning.

The view breath taking. The accommodations were more than adequate. The bathroom was small and the shower a bit of a challenge but useful. All in all a very good experience. Restaurants across the street a bonus.

Not close to downtown

All Of the staff were amazing. Breakfast was good. Location on the beach with a balcony and small cooking area. Fridge and table. You can catch a bus just ten minutes away at the church which goes downtown. Taxi is 10 euro downtown

The wifi in our room was very bad. Ironing board and fan wasn't in the room which are listed as items included in the room. They brought those items to the room when I requested them.

The staff was the nicest, they will go out of their way if you need help with anything. Great breakfast in mornings with a different azorean dessert each day and a relaxing ocean beach view. The cleaning ladies are the best, rooms are ready when you arrive back from your day. Everyone is nice and greet you each day with a smile, Bon Dia!

The mattresses weren't super comfortable and we had two separate beds next to each other instead of a double. Unfortunately no savoury vegan options or clear allergen informations for sweets. We were still able to have breakfast with oats, fruits, bread and jam. Would have been better to have labels though, when we asked they weren't able to tell us

Stunning location, right on the beach. The hotel has a big free parking and S.Rouque is less than 10 minutes driving from Ponta Delgada. We were very happy with the daily cleaning services and the room size. Overall, it's definitely worth the price

Some Equipment is a little damaged or outdated. Wished to had a some vegetables, maybe some more chees selection, than it would be a perfect breakfast for me. The possibility to keep the towels would be great.

In front of the beach with awesome view of the ocean and the fantastic sound of the waves,felt a sleep with it so easily. Loved the balcony. Great breakfast with a lot of selection. Friendly staff. The possibility to borrow beach towels for free and a direct entrance to the beach. Little kitchen with basic kitchen equipment and a refrigerator with a small freezer.
