What an excellent place to stay. We loved the hosts, the food, the opportunity to meet the other guests. It’s a picture perfect out of the way place for a restful stay. We would have stayed longer if it wasn’t full!

Everything was amazing. I couldn't recommend more this guest house. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The dinner with al the guests at one table was a different yet amazing experience, and the food (and wine!!) was very good (the port wine served before and after was one of the bests that I tasted!). We were lucky to have one of the best bedrooms of the guest house. Was enormous and very comfortable. We really recommend you visit this guest house for its different and you feel like home.

The hotel was located on the top of the mountain in a tiny village. The building was so beautiful and the surroundings were magical. The welcoming was the warmest we have ever witnessed in Portugal. The family who owns the hotel welcomed us with Porto wine and Portuguese songs :) Τhe dinner and breakfast was set at a big table designed for everyone to eat together. The meals were so delicious 😋 Βefore and after the dinner Porto wine accompanied the whole night. We are so grateful for this special hospitality and we can’t wait to come again ❤️

The property is 10 mins by taxi from Pinhão which costs between 10 and 17 euro. Dinner is offered to guests and is good wholesome home cooked food. This is a family run Quinta - where service is simple and warm. The pool area is lovely and the wines are good. The rooms are clean and eclectic.

Nothing, everything was great. As staff were often busy it might be an idea to introduce an honesty box in the bar so guests can serve themselves when staff aren't around.

I really enjoyed the personal service and the fact that the whole vibe was very friendly and the business family run. The shared dining experience made it interesting as we got to speak to other guests which we might not do in a larger hotel. The food was tasty (especially the pumpkin balls :-) ). We were also given lots of lovely wines and ports. Miguel explained everything and was very personable.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The location and views are incredible. Very spacious, beautiful rooms. Miguel and his family are the best hosts, made us feel like home. Can’t forget to mention - THE DINNERS were such a wholesome experience. Sharing the table with other guests, eating delicious homemade food and drinking their wines were the cherry on top of the cake. Highly recommend and we will be back.

We had the most amazing stay at Casa Cimeira! Miguel was a very welcoming host and made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast and evening meal of locally produced food was delicious. We also tasted lots of high quality port and wine produced here. The views of the Duoro valley were incredible from the guest house and we enjoyed some nice walks around the village and vineyards. The pool area was very relaxing and we enjoyed some glasses of sparking rose that Miguel recommended to us! The rooms were very spacious and clean with spectacular views of the valley. We would highly recommend Casa Cimeira for anyone visiting this region. Thanks Miguel for a phenomenal stay. Emma, Olive, Brid and Mary (Ireland)
